Twern't me I haven't picked up the new bike yet!
-
As a father with a daughter that also rides I'm glad to hear that your daughter escaped with few injuries. I'm also impressed my a mom who lends her daughter her venture for a pleasure ride. Just to let you know there is a 2004 Venture like your for sale at Pioneer Yamaha in Chaffee N.Y. Look them up and give them a call if you re looking for a similar bike. I saw it last week and when i saw yours It brought that to mind. I'm sure members here wouldn't mind ferrying it across country for you. best wishes to your daughter again.

haven"t ridden a Vision yet but I was incredibly impressed with how well balanced the weight is on all the Victory machines. The bikes weight was never an after thought. Its center or gravity feels very low and it makes the bike feel so much lighter than their stated weight.

While I'm waiting for my new to me 86 Venture to arrive at the end of month I'm getting out the Honda V65 Sabre and taking her for a spin...

Frame with title for MKI
PBJ replied to Venturous Randy's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I still have the engine in the frame. Its not as stripped down as far as the other guys are. I still have parts to remove. But if you can't find any thing else let me know. I'll be glad to send the frame and title for $200 plus shipping. -
Frame with title for MKI
PBJ replied to Venturous Randy's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Randy how hard is it to remove that frame bar. Would I need to pull the engine first to get it off? Ifits an easy pull how does $85.00 for the bar and title sound. -

Randy, I happen to have a frame and title . I'm parting out my 85 . Do you need the whole frame or just part of it how does that work? The engine is still in the frame so I'd have to remove it, unless you want that too. Let me know and we can dicker on the price. I'm working tomorrow but you can call me in the afternoon if i don"t answer I'm driving I'll get back to you as soon as I can.315 521 3729.Phil. -
I've been selling parts off my 85 to pay for the 86 i'm buying. I went on e bay and got a list of parts and prices. Then I just made all my prices equal to the lower one or below average. I can honestly say parts have been moving relatively steadily. But I agree Bob people think they will make a million bucks off of you.

To all of you down south in the more dangerous parts of tornado alley Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this season.

They've been around for a while and if you look at BMW they are closing in on a similar design.

I would be interested as well . Also depending on the price. My 85 squealed like a banshee when it was cold. it was unnerving and embarrassing. Not sure if my 86 will have a similar problem but better to have one just in case.

Front Brake problems-need ideas
PBJ replied to Pecker's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Take some fine grit sand paper 1500 or more and gently sand the rotors. A friend once told me most time unseeable build up on the rotors mimics a warped disc. But the pressure issue seems more like moisture in the lines. -
New project 87 royale-- run on question
PBJ replied to van avery's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Probably not the first Venture to have its owner following from the grave. I'm picking up an 86 whose owner died 3 years ago. And it was his 3 venture. Apparently he LOVED them. He and his wife took one to Alaska . I don't have a name yet though -
going there is on my bucket list.

how sweet. its nice to see the administrators went along with that.

Considering that the Venture itself weight 800lbs. the trailer would be almost doubling the weight even before its filled then with you and a passenger you could be pulling or trying to move 1700 lbs down the road. If nothing else the wear on the clutch will be enormous and Gawd help you if it gets squirelly on you. I''d say forget it Find yourself a good used utility trailer and a car top carrier and build one yourself.

Hey GARY HERE'S AN IDEA take the cover that goes over the battery and gas tank and turn it around measure it and cut off what you don"t need . You might have to make some kind of mounting bracket for ti though. Just a thought.

Or do what Big Tom here in new york does and put giant granny panties on the bike. LOL:big-grin-emoticon:
