OK folks....it looks like MOST would rather do it on the 7th so the 7th it is. Also, I hadn't thought about the hotel availability on the holiday weekend. That CAN be a problem around here. So...this is the official announcement, the Maintenance day will be held on Saturday June 7th, 2008.

Crutchfield still has both listed. They may just be selling out the existing stock of the 400 though. The difference appears to be the power rating. 105 peak for the 400s and 135 peak for the 401s. RMS tops at at 35 for the 400s and 45 for the 401s. I actually think that the 400 model will be better for our bikes AND they are $30.00 cheaper than the 401s.

Great write-up. I will add it to the tech library soon. One note. I doubt that these would work in the rear pods. Looks like the magnet is a big deeper. I originally tried some Infinity speakers on my '99 and they would not work in the rear either. The pods would not go back together due to the size of the magnet. That being said, I think that you get very little from the rear speakers. The fronts are where most of your sound comes from. I will likely give these a try also. I too am running the Pioneers at this time but am not completely happy with them.

This is actually something that I started a couple of years before I even started VentureRider.org. It is actually an idea that I copied from when I lived in Dallas, TX and the local MTA group there did something similar. Sorry my friend, I just don't get enough time off to do it in various places but the fact is, ANYBODY can do this. Just get with other members fairly close to your area, find somebody to host it and have fun. It doesn't take a LOT of planning and can be a lot of fun and even educational.

Mini Muffin...I found yours. Sorry about that, I had it filed under the "pink bells with lace" folder. Also just got a snail mail order from Bill Darling. That means that there are only 29 bells left of the 250 that I ordered. I'm thinking now that maybe I should increase my order to 300. hmmmmm

That's almost funny. My Doctor recently decided that I have ADD and gave me a prescription. My insurance told me that I'm too old to have ADD and refuses to cover it. I was happy to find out that I have such good insurance that they know better than my Doctor. I'm glad to know it was a false alarm.

Folks...I'm thinking May 24th for my annual Maintenance Day. That is Memorial Day weekend though as Memorial day is the following Monday, the 26th. Does that cause a problem or make it better for everybody? I can move it to the following weekend, June 7th, if that works better for most people.

Hey folks...I obviously didn't make my post very clear. This is simply an example of what can be done. I quickly threw it together from some pics that I had readily available in a folder. Like I said, if there is any interest, it will NOT be this one in any manner. I will either have pictures emailed to me or I will select them from our various available pictures from the pic gallery, photobucket account, etc. It will NOT be the pictures shown in this sample. Sorry about the confusion.

OK....here is one that I put together from some pics that I had handy. If there is enough interest, I will do one and have them printed. I don't know how much it will cost but I assume in the $20.00 per poster range. That could be a little high or low and it will likely depend upon how many people want them. So....any interest? If so, I will be pulling pictures from the Pic Gallery and also from our Rallies and Meet and Eats from our Photobucket account. Not sure how many I can get on a poster. It will depend upon what size posters you want. The bigger they are the more they will cost of course. I can't even believe I am thinking about this.....someday maybe I'll learn better .... but I doubt it.
