  1. 16898 is the house number.
  2. I suspect that it's the timing if anybody is traveling through there. Most are probably leaving earlier that are coming in on Friday. Come on though...I KNOW you can find the way.
  3. I will try to take a look at the wiring diagram tomorrow but I doubt it's the gear indicator. I still suspect that it's the side stand switch. Have you worked it manually a few times to make sure it is making and breaking?
  4. That's been suggested in the past but I've just never had the time to figure out what all I need to make it happen. Probably no time to do it this year. Sorry.
  5. I agree, that sounds really bad and would drive me crazy. What year is your bike? If there is any warranty left on it, I would sure be making the dealer do something about it. I'm sorry that I don't have any great suggestions for you. With the Royal Star Venture, changing the clutch basket is the first step in correcting that issue but I'm not sure on the VStar.
  6. Well believe it or not, I pretty much finished the "honey do" list today so I'm about as ready for all of you as I ever will be. Just got to make a run to Walmart tomorrow to pick up water, soft drinks, ice, etc. so.....let the show begin.
  7. With very few exceptions, most here would recommend the Dunlop E3 or the Avon Venom.
  8. WOW...now you went and told everybody here...and they will tell somebody else...and those people will tell other people...and ....EVERYBODY will know. Yep...you've done it now.
  9. Check the VR Classifieds under Member Vendors and Hillis.
  10. Barnett makes stainless steel throttle cables. I put them on my bike when I installed the Flanders bars. Try Rick at http://www.buckeyeperformance.com He should be able to help you out. He sells the brake lines also.
  11. Yes, but out of the kindness of my heart, I would give her a ride.
  12. Marissa Tomei....she never replied to my personal invitation though.
  13. OK...now that you have made fun of my hair...I'm not answering any more of your questions. OK...just this one time. I'm honestly not that familiar with that shock. Does it have an outer spring? I guess what I'm saying is to screw it down so that it would compress the spring more. If it doesn't have a spring, pretend that it down and turn it that way anyhow. I'm guessing that it would be clockwise. I sent Pegscraper a PM and asked him to look at this thread. He is very familiar with the Royal Stars.
  14. I like it. I've never had an MG but I've owned two Triumph Spitfires and they were a lot of fun. Looks like you done good.
  15. Remind me when you get here that I'm not speaking to you.
  16. Well heck...here we go. Jonas will be coming over and getting ALL the attention from our ladies. That's just not fair...I worked hard this weekend and I think I strained some muscles that I didn't even know I had. I want some pampering too. Seriously, we are really glad that the treatment was a success Jonas. Hope you can get some rest that you are in much need of before your trip. We look forward to your visit. Especially the opportunity to meet Greta...she has to be an amazing lady to put up with you.
  17. I hope that somebody else jumps in here to verify but I THINK you would still screw it down tighter even though I do understand about it working opposite of most shocks. The newer RSTD and RSV's don't have that adjustment at all as they use air. I think that Pegscraper could better answer your question as he has a lot of experience with the Royal Stars. If he doesn't see this, you might want to send him a PM.
  18. Partly cloudy......like natural SHADE? DUH! you just can't please SOME people.
  19. Well...it was my mommy that made me wear one and now my wife makes me wear one. When I grow up, I'm going to make my OWN decisions. To be honest, I've tried a couple of times without one and just really didn't like it.
  20. Yea, that would be my recommendation too. I pretty much stick to here, Craigslist and then if those don't work, I will try Ebay.
  21. I've always felt that you have exhibited excessive lean.
  22. It is free for supporting members. Good luck to you.
  23. Well, it's 88 here right now. I can tell you that over the past 2 1/2 days, I have spent about 7 hours on a weed eater, put out 65 bags of mulch, cleaned the garage, cleaned the deck, spent about 3 hours working on the Mantis tiller before I finally gave up on it.........various other "honey do" chores that Eileen assured me HAD to be done before Maintenance Day. It has been PLENTY hot when you are out following those type of orders!
  24. Same ones. Anything from 1999 - Current year will work.
  25.
