  1. I never use Chrome but I do have it installed just for checking things like this. I just tested the globe feature with IE, Firefox and Chrome and it worked with all three. I think that it must be something in your settings.
  2. I've never seen a performance cam kit for the RSV. I had an '89 with VMAX heads and cams and I suspect that it could be done on the '99 but am not 100% sure. That being said, PCW Racing may be able to provide exactly what you are looking for. Check them out and maybe give them a call. The specialize in performance upgrades for these engines. Be sure to report back on what you find out. http://www.pcwracing.net/
  3. Yep, I have Rick's kit on my bike also and I think it should have come that way from the factory. Very worthwhile addition.
  4. Well I lied...but it wasn't on purpose. The post office closes here at noon on Saturdays. By the time I got them all packaged and addressed, it was too late to get to the post office in time. They are all ready to go and will be in the mail first thing Monday morning. Sorry about the delay.
  5. Folks, I've said it before but it's worth repeating. I would NEVER want anybody to leave here due to financial hardships. Anybody who is truly in a position where they simply don't have the money to renew need only send me a PM.
  6. Well, I'm glad you are hanging around. For those of you who don't know and don't pay attention to signatures, Wally has a great forum dedicated to the Garmin GPS. You can find it at http://www.zumoforums.com If you use a Garmin GPS, it is certainly worth checking out.
  7. I've never heard of them but I assume you are talking about these folks? http://www.rumblingpride.com/
  8. You know better than that. I just renewed it for you.
  9. Yes, I have them. They were delivered this week while I was out of town. I plan to get them all in the mail tomorrow. If anybody else is interested, I have plenty on hand right now. Ordering information can be found: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17406
  10. Hey...I did that several years ago. You may be right....could be time for a update.
  11. Why? I live 30 minutes from Cleveland and I'm not a Brown's fan.
  12. I would be very careful about that. Though there looks like there is plenty of room, I know of more than one person who mounted small tool bags there only to have them dent their front fenders when they got on the front brakes a bit hard. Or maybe I'm thinking about another bike.....hmmmmmmmmm
  13. I've never ridden the Victory but I sat on one a few months back and it sure felt good. I also liked the style of the bike. I hope that it brings you many miles of happiness. I wish that you would stay with us though. You have been a long time supporter and friend of VentureRider.org and I would sure hate to see you go. It is always a dilemma that I struggle with when members move to other bikes and we lose their participation here. I have thought about it a lot over the years and just don't have a good solution for it. The fact is, this site was created to promote and support the Venture and Royal Stars and that is the strength of the site. When several members switched to the Goldwing, I finally created an area for it but it has been less than successful. The fact is, there are a number of good websites for the Goldwing where people can find much more information about that bike. I had hoped that there would be more input into that area and we could slowly build on that but it just hasn't happened. I know of other clubs that have started out dedicated to a certain make/model and then later tried to move to an "all bikes" format and it ended up hurting them in the end. The Venture Touring Society is a good example. When Yamaha discontinued the Venture in 1993, the VTS later changed their name to the Motorcycle Touring Association and tried to transition itself to an "all bikes" format. Though they are still around at this time, they are a shadow of their former self and though have tried a number of different things, they have just never regained the momentum to attract new members that they once had. I would be very hesitant to ever go down that path. I hope that you will stay and you know that we don't care what you ride but unless the membership here someday speaks very loudly that they want the format changed, this site will likely remain dedicated the the Venture and Royal Star bikes. OK...sorry...I know that I got long winded there but you just caused me to finally comment on an issue that I have struggled with for a long time. As usual, comments on this subject are welcome.
  14. I have not driven one but I like what I have read about them and I think it's the best looking small car that GM has built in many years. I drove by the Lordstown, OH GM plant earlier this week. That is where it is built..at least some of them...and they had hundreds of them lined up waiting to be transported. I hope it turns out to be as good as it looks.
  15. OK....now are you SURE? I have changed the timer but I did it the fist time based upon this thread. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52735
  16. LOL....yea...based upon some of the folks that I've seemed camped out around it...that it HIGHLY likely.
  17. Hey, it could at least stand to be dredged.
  18. Sure...you can line it up beside the driveway with Gary's motorhome.
  19. It's an annual event that I hold at my house every spring. There are usually close to 300 people there. VentureRiders and their families. Here are some pictures from last years event. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Maintenance%20Day%202011/
  20. They are offering a special rate for us. You have to call and tell them that you are with the VentureRiders to get the $79.95 price.
  21. and already it is turning religious. I think that this could have been posted with absolutely no mention of religion but it was not and therefore probably won't last long.
  22. Larin used to make a lift with adjustable saddles on it. I think they still do. I just feel so much better with the Carbon One adapter though. I've been somewhat watching for a decent lift/table though. I ran across a nice Handy Lift on the Cleveland Craigslist a few weeks ago but he never responded to my email. I'm in no hurry but would try to find the funds to buy one if I were to run across a good deal.
  23. No, I didn't know that. I have a PM from you where you told me that it was May 26th. Now which is it?
  24. Don's HONEY DO INN.
  25. There will be threads in the Rally and Meet and Each areas for each event at some point. They should also be placed in the calendar. I'll add links from the countdown page soon. Corrected. SURELY you didn't expect me to get anything right the first time. Thanks. I will get it added to the rally page.
