LOL...I forget what a good customer you were. I knew you bought a lot of knives and swords from me though. I did sell a Yamaha Thumper to somebody...maybe it was you. It was a 500 though.
-
Mike, not to highjack the thread but ... well...maybe I am. Anyway, I was trying to remember what bike I sold you way back when. It had to be over 20 years ago. Was it a Virago or the V45 Honda? If it was a Virago, was it the 750 or the 920?

Probably just dirty. Have you tried washing it with your phone?

I could be wrong but I don't think that is exactly right. I think it is charities, politicians and people that you have done business with over the past so many months. Not folks that have called you before. I've been on the DNC list since it started in the USA. I think that was close to 10 years ago. I have to say that it has GREATLY reduced the number of calls that I get. When I DO get one, I absolutely go straight to the DNC site and report them.

My 85 Brown Fox may be dead...

LOL...one of us is missing something Jack. I don't think he has it listed on Ebay. He did say that it was listed on Craigslist but he can delete or modify that ad as he goes. -
New sounds coming from front end. What is it?

I doubt that the tire is your problem at 1,000 miles but for most of us, that is too many miles on a Bridgestone. -
Brake lever issue again.Winter gloves again .
Freebird replied to muaymendez1's topic in Watering Hole
I have fairly large hands so reach isn't an issue. I do like the lever being adjusted so that it doesn't really do anything until it's close to the grip though. Rick Butler showed me years ago how he had his adjusted. I liked it and have had mine set that way ever since. Basically you just adjust the furled nut so that the lever has freeplay until it gets closer to the grip. Mine is set so that it will actually touch the grip when I squeeze it with moderate pressure. That means that even though the reach is the same, there is no pressure on it until you pull it in closer to the grip and it makes it much easier to pull and also more comfortable to hold while stopped at a red light and etc. Still MORE than enough braking power. -

It could also be your front springs. They are getting old now and I've seen them make a clunking sound when they are shot. It may be time to think about a set of Progressive or Sonic Springs. -
Congrats on a fine looking young man. I am very happy for you both. Yep, I would say that a sidecar is certainly in your future.

RSV performance cam kit?
Freebird replied to mike_waldman56's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
There you go. When are you going to start on yours? -
Well, my first computer was a TI 99/4A. It had no modem at all. It also had no hard drive and in fact, had no floppy drives. It used a standard cassette deck for storage. I thought I was living big when I got my first computer that actually had a 5 1/4 inch floppy drive and then I eventually added a SECOND floppy drive...man....that was something to behold. My first hard drive was also a 20MB. My first modem though was 2400 baud. My first laptop was a Compaq 286 LTE...I think was the model. The company bought it for me and it had a monochrome display, 9600 baud modem, I think a 30 MB drive and a 3 1/2" floppy drive. It came at a cost of right at $6,000.00. It ran MSDOS. The main thing that I used it for was PLC programming using Allen Bradley software.

OK folks, I shipped 70 bells this morning. You folks surprised me and made me glad that I ordered 100 instead of the 75 that I had originally planned to order. So, I still have about 30 more if anybody else is interested.

I've never organized a benefit ride but hopefully there are some here who can offer suggestions. I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry to hear of her illness. A bad deal at any age but it just seems especially terrible when it afflicts somebody so young.

I never use Chrome but I do have it installed just for checking things like this. I just tested the globe feature with IE, Firefox and Chrome and it worked with all three. I think that it must be something in your settings.

RSV performance cam kit?
Freebird replied to mike_waldman56's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've never seen a performance cam kit for the RSV. I had an '89 with VMAX heads and cams and I suspect that it could be done on the '99 but am not 100% sure. That being said, PCW Racing may be able to provide exactly what you are looking for. Check them out and maybe give them a call. The specialize in performance upgrades for these engines. Be sure to report back on what you find out. http://www.pcwracing.net/ -
Rear Caliper Swap for RSV ??
Freebird replied to Mickey's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Yep, I have Rick's kit on my bike also and I think it should have come that way from the factory. Very worthwhile addition. -
Well I lied...but it wasn't on purpose. The post office closes here at noon on Saturdays. By the time I got them all packaged and addressed, it was too late to get to the post office in time. They are all ready to go and will be in the mail first thing Monday morning. Sorry about the delay.

Folks, I've said it before but it's worth repeating. I would NEVER want anybody to leave here due to financial hardships. Anybody who is truly in a position where they simply don't have the money to renew need only send me a PM.

Well, I'm glad you are hanging around. For those of you who don't know and don't pay attention to signatures, Wally has a great forum dedicated to the Garmin GPS. You can find it at http://www.zumoforums.com If you use a Garmin GPS, it is certainly worth checking out.
