Bob, Thank you for posting that. It is an excellent video. You know, I'm really just a small town country boy but unfortunately I find myself visiting a lot of cities due to my work. I'll admit that when it comes to mid to large cities, I'm a "glass is half empty" sort of person. I seem to dwell too much on the negatives and don't really take the time to look for the positives and the truth is, a lot of the cities are just full of interesting things, history, fun things to do....if I would just take some time to look around a bit. You know that I have been to Buffalo many times in the past and have many more visits to make there in the future. I'm going to try and find the time to explore the positives. Eileen and I are really looking forward to the International and I hope to see a lot of old friends there and make a lot of new ones.

Dano needs our prayers
Freebird replied to Freebird's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
Dano, if you see this. I just made reservations in Indianapolis tomorrow. Actually in Plainfield but close enough. I'll give Rose a call sometime tomorrow and setup a time to stop by. It will be great to see you again. -
Don, I sure wish that I was closer. Please know though that my heart and prayers will be there.

Well, the sickness continues. There is absolutely no way that I need yet another guitar but sometimes you just run across a deal that you can't ignore. That is what happened to me yesterday when I came upon a great deal on another Seagull. I already had an S6 Cutaway but always wanted an Artist Series. So this afternoon, I picked up a new to me Seagull Artist Cameo. Solid flamed maple sides and back, solid spruce top, ivory tuners and the Artist Series inlays of the Seagull on in the 12 fret and abalone/pearl inlay in the head. It has the same Quantum II electronics as my S5 Seagull but I never plug it in anyway. Now, do I sell the S6 or end up keeping two Seagulls. The S6 is wild cherry back and sides with a cedar top. More of a warm sound. This maple with spruce top is a much brighter sound. I actually like them both but REALLY shouldn't keep them both....but then again.....

Dano needs our prayers

Great to see you posting Dano. I was actually going to email Rose over the next day or two. I plan to leave for Indianapolis on Monday morning and want to stop by and visit with you for a bit. I'll be in touch between now and then. I will be there until at least Thursday. -
Well, I don have any pictures of my vehicles but for the most part, I drive my very boring company car 95% of the time. It is a Dodge Caravan and it about due to be replace. Mine is a 2007 model with over 100,000 miles on it. The company usually gives me a new one about every 110,000 miles so it's about time but they recently said that they may start trying to run them to about 120,000 - 130,000 miles between replacements so I don't know when the new one will arrive. We have two personal cars which I seldom drive. A 2011 Kia Sorento and a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. I also recently bought...or "co-bought"...a 2008 NIssan Altima Coupe for my son. It is really his car though as long as he keeps the payments up. If he doesn't, I'll REPO that sucker. We all like white cars here. The Sorento, Crossfire and Altima are all white.

Not without some adapters of some kind. Carbon_one's is the best way to go but in the mean time, you could use some 2 x 4's or some have used hockey pucks as spacers.

Having been part of making such a decision in regards to my own dad, I know that it is a difficult thing to do. The only way I was able to get my mind around it was to understand that I had to do what I thought he would have wanted and to put my own hurts and wants aside. I know that it was the right decision. Please know that you will all be in our prayers. Not just empty words.....but a sincere promise.

I'm just glad to see you post to this thread Tom. I didn't want to ask but when Taters said: "he is very very handsome"...... I was wondering if the two of you were still together. Wasn't sure who she was talking about.

That would be really pretty. A tree covered with silver VentureRider bells. Heck yeah...I think it would only take maybe 500 of them to decorate a good sized tree. Let me know when you want them, I'll need to have some more cast.

Well folks...they are all in the mail. You are in the capable hands of the USPS now. If you don't get in the near future, call Ruffy...he works for the post office.

Way back then...about 20 through 30 years ago...I used to sell knives and swords on the side. Just sort of a hobby. I sold a lot of them though...probably thousands over the years. I had wholesale accounts with all the major brands..Case, Buck, Schrade, Puma, Parker, Gerber and a lot of very fine German brands that only folks into knives would recognize but some of the more common were Fight'n Rooster, Hen and Rooster and a lot of others. It was a fun. Most of the swords that I sold were the Japanese Ninja type swords. Some just decorative but some with real edges. Mike, believe it or not, I only have about 4 left myself. After I quit TU and started traveling so much, I just didn't have the time to mess with it any longer. My own collection was probably close to 1,000 knives at one time but I eventually sold and gave them all away. Same with m gun collection. I bought, sold and traded all the time but I had about 70 guns at one point. I now have 4.

LOL...I forget what a good customer you were. I knew you bought a lot of knives and swords from me though. I did sell a Yamaha Thumper to somebody...maybe it was you. It was a 500 though.

Mike, not to highjack the thread but ... well...maybe I am. Anyway, I was trying to remember what bike I sold you way back when. It had to be over 20 years ago. Was it a Virago or the V45 Honda? If it was a Virago, was it the 750 or the 920?

Probably just dirty. Have you tried washing it with your phone?

I could be wrong but I don't think that is exactly right. I think it is charities, politicians and people that you have done business with over the past so many months. Not folks that have called you before. I've been on the DNC list since it started in the USA. I think that was close to 10 years ago. I have to say that it has GREATLY reduced the number of calls that I get. When I DO get one, I absolutely go straight to the DNC site and report them.

LOL...one of us is missing something Jack. I don't think he has it listed on Ebay. He did say that it was listed on Craigslist but he can delete or modify that ad as he goes. -
New sounds coming from front end. What is it?

I doubt that the tire is your problem at 1,000 miles but for most of us, that is too many miles on a Bridgestone. -
Brake lever issue again.Winter gloves again .
Freebird replied to muaymendez1's topic in Watering Hole
I have fairly large hands so reach isn't an issue. I do like the lever being adjusted so that it doesn't really do anything until it's close to the grip though. Rick Butler showed me years ago how he had his adjusted. I liked it and have had mine set that way ever since. Basically you just adjust the furled nut so that the lever has freeplay until it gets closer to the grip. Mine is set so that it will actually touch the grip when I squeeze it with moderate pressure. That means that even though the reach is the same, there is no pressure on it until you pull it in closer to the grip and it makes it much easier to pull and also more comfortable to hold while stopped at a red light and etc. Still MORE than enough braking power. -
New sounds coming from front end. What is it?
Freebird replied to muaymendez1's topic in Watering Hole
It could also be your front springs. They are getting old now and I've seen them make a clunking sound when they are shot. It may be time to think about a set of Progressive or Sonic Springs. -
Congrats on a fine looking young man. I am very happy for you both. Yep, I would say that a sidecar is certainly in your future.
