  1. YIKES...this could be SCARY. Remember folks....this is a PG site. Premium beer huh? So you stopped drinking that Heiniy stuff?
  2. Sorry about that folks. There seems to be an issue still. I have contacted the hosting company of the chat service for assistance with it.
  3. I find it humorous that so many are taking this so seriously. I actually heard a guy the other day say that he wasn't going to pay his mortgage payment until Saturday just in case. Come on....if the world did end your not going to need that money on Saturday anyway.
  4. No, but the back of the fabric is soft enough that there shouldn't be a problem. As much as I would love to post pictures, getting somebody to take them seems to be an issue. Reactions would seem to vary between intense giggling or running and screaming.
  5. Winners are announced in the contest thread. Congrats to the winners and thanks to all who played. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74684&page=2
  6. OK folks....the winners are: DRUMROLL First Winner: Custom VentureRider Carb covers: Mike G in SC Second Place: Ipod Shuffle: Ragtop69gs Congrats to all and thanks for playing.
  7. Contest is officially over. I am now going to draw the numbers.
  8. Well...there may be ONE small scratch.
  9. Well, I did have her make me a matching speedo. I'll put it on and post some pictures.
  10. Come of folks, you have about another hour and a half or so.
  11. I have deleted all the questionable posts and re-opened this thread. Please keep it on topic.
  12. It's OK...I realize I'm dealing with a bunch of bikers.
  13. I already have the Hopnel bib on the trunk and the tank. That's why I wanted these done to match those items.
  14. LOL....read my first post again.
  15. Today is the last day that you can enter the current contest for your chance to win either 2nd Gen Carb covers or an Ipod Shuffle. Contest ends later this afternoon and I'll draw a winner tonight. Here is the link if you somehow missed it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74684
  16. Got my new saddlebag lid covers week before last from Nanci at AceHighLeathers. Finally had time to install them today and I tell you, I couldn't be happier with them. Nanci does fantastic work and is a pleasure to work with. I can't tell you what they would cost because I bought the fabric and braid over a year ago. I was looking for something to closely match my Hopnel tank and trunk bibs and bought this material with plans of trying to make my own. Finally decided I wouldn't ever do it and sent the materials to Nanci. Here are a couple of pictures. I pretty much just told Nanci to do what she wanted with them because I knew that they would turn out great. Like I said, I couldn't be more pleased. She is a class act. Check out her other items for the RSV here: http://www.acehighleathers.com/motorcycle/other-cool-stuff/
  17. It is most likely the VBSEO plugin that I use to generate site maps. It sends info to Google for search engine placement. The ads at the top have nothing to do with Google. It could also be the Google ads that run on the left/bottom of the forum though. Either way, there is nothing malicious.
  18. The best thing would probably be to not actually edit the post but just use the comments area of the ad or the original post in the forum area to update the status of parts.
  19. Yea sorry, that's just the way it works. If you edit an ad, it automatically posts again.
  20. I'm not Joe but I can tell you that there are a number of different mounts that you can use with that mod. Including fold down mounts.
  21. I agree then that this is the most likely issue.
  22. About the only thing I've seen cause that is a slow connection. I'm at a hotel right now with a terrible connection and when I clicked on it, I got a white box until it finally connected and then it opened fine.
  23. I would bet that most any trophy shop could do it for it and it wouldn't be that expensive.
  24. Hey, I"m willing to be fair about it. She can send the pictures to me and then I'll decide if they are suitable for public display.
  25. Actually, there are a a lot of people that have lowered the front of the RSV. It is simple to do and if the previous owner lowered the rear, he may well have lowered the front also. What people do is simply loosen the triple tree clamps and slide the fork tubes further up. I don't remember the exact amount that they can be lowered but I'm thinking that they can be slid up about an inch or so. It should be easy to tell if it was done or not. I'm not home to look at mine but I THINK the top of the fork tubes are almost flush with the top of the triple tree. They may come through about a 1/4". If yours are a lot higher than that in the triple tree then the front has been lowered. Somebody here needs to verify my thoughts on the measurements though because I won't be home until Friday to look. Now these bikes sit a little lower in the rear from the factory. A lot of us have installed what is called "leveling links" that actually raise the rear of the bikes about an inch therefore "leveling" the bikes. Most of us agree that this improves handling a lot. Now if yours has been lowered only in the rear then that is opposite of what we do to improve handling. Since you need the bike lowered and the back has already been lowered, I would recommend lowering the front also to at least get it back to how it sat from the factory.
