I already have the Hopnel bib on the trunk and the tank. That's why I wanted these done to match those items.

Today is the last day that you can enter the current contest for your chance to win either 2nd Gen Carb covers or an Ipod Shuffle. Contest ends later this afternoon and I'll draw a winner tonight. Here is the link if you somehow missed it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74684

Got my new saddlebag lid covers week before last from Nanci at AceHighLeathers. Finally had time to install them today and I tell you, I couldn't be happier with them. Nanci does fantastic work and is a pleasure to work with. I can't tell you what they would cost because I bought the fabric and braid over a year ago. I was looking for something to closely match my Hopnel tank and trunk bibs and bought this material with plans of trying to make my own. Finally decided I wouldn't ever do it and sent the materials to Nanci. Here are a couple of pictures. I pretty much just told Nanci to do what she wanted with them because I knew that they would turn out great. Like I said, I couldn't be more pleased. She is a class act. Check out her other items for the RSV here: http://www.acehighleathers.com/motorcycle/other-cool-stuff/

It is most likely the VBSEO plugin that I use to generate site maps. It sends info to Google for search engine placement. The ads at the top have nothing to do with Google. It could also be the Google ads that run on the left/bottom of the forum though. Either way, there is nothing malicious.

The best thing would probably be to not actually edit the post but just use the comments area of the ad or the original post in the forum area to update the status of parts.

“Leveling Links”, and a few other “VERY proud new owner” questions …
Freebird replied to Buck_Roy's topic in Watering Hole
I'm not Joe but I can tell you that there are a number of different mounts that you can use with that mod. Including fold down mounts. -
I agree then that this is the most likely issue.

About the only thing I've seen cause that is a slow connection. I'm at a hotel right now with a terrible connection and when I clicked on it, I got a white box until it finally connected and then it opened fine.

I would bet that most any trophy shop could do it for it and it wouldn't be that expensive.

Hey, I"m willing to be fair about it. She can send the pictures to me and then I'll decide if they are suitable for public display.

Actually, there are a a lot of people that have lowered the front of the RSV. It is simple to do and if the previous owner lowered the rear, he may well have lowered the front also. What people do is simply loosen the triple tree clamps and slide the fork tubes further up. I don't remember the exact amount that they can be lowered but I'm thinking that they can be slid up about an inch or so. It should be easy to tell if it was done or not. I'm not home to look at mine but I THINK the top of the fork tubes are almost flush with the top of the triple tree. They may come through about a 1/4". If yours are a lot higher than that in the triple tree then the front has been lowered. Somebody here needs to verify my thoughts on the measurements though because I won't be home until Friday to look. Now these bikes sit a little lower in the rear from the factory. A lot of us have installed what is called "leveling links" that actually raise the rear of the bikes about an inch therefore "leveling" the bikes. Most of us agree that this improves handling a lot. Now if yours has been lowered only in the rear then that is opposite of what we do to improve handling. Since you need the bike lowered and the back has already been lowered, I would recommend lowering the front also to at least get it back to how it sat from the factory.

When he delivers it. At least that is how it was when I worked for a Chevrolet dealership.

Lower wind deflector
Freebird replied to hmlemons0608's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Maybe somebody will have one but it is very common for them to break. Many of us have purchased the stainless steel replacements from Diamond R Accessories. http://www.diamondraccessories.com -
Very good. I know you have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it. I briefly took classes in Tae Kwan Do and then later another karate that I don't even remember the name of and I know it's a lot of hard work. The second one that I took for a while seemed to be a bit more offensive than the Taw Kwan Do was. I wish I knew what it was called but it was a long time ago. One thing I remember was that there was a red belt, I think between brown and black but I may be wrong.

One quart is way more than enough. You can change it several times with one quart. -
Hey Barry, just click on "thread tools" at the top of any thread and then "subscribe". Then you can later go to the UserCP and see your "subscribed" threads.

Now that is funny.

Yawn.....just another in a field of MANY V-Twins. It's the beloved V4 that sets our bikes apart from the crowd.

Maybe he is showing two different prices on different pages. I got the $300.00 right from his site on this page. http://rmsportmax.com/gateway.html Well, that link takes you to the home page. I then clicked on "Venture Products".

OK folks, we are going to kick this contest off today. It will run for two weeks. I will draw the winning numbers two weeks from today at or around 6:00 PM. There will be two prizes and two winners. First prize will be a set of custom engraved VentureRider carb covers for the Royal Star Venture or Royal Star Tour Deluxe. This prize was generously donated by AdChrome. You can visit his webiste here: http://adchrome.4t.com/ The second prize will be a brand new 4GB Ipod Shuffle. This prize was generously donated by BVinson. Here is a link to one just like it. [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Apple-shuffle-Black-Generation-MODEL/dp/B001FA1NZA?tag=citofgamonlco-20]Amazon.com: Apple iPod shuffle 4 GB Black (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL: MP3 Players & Accessories@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31gS8%2BEjMqL.@@AMEPARAM@@31gS8%2BEjMqL[/ame] So what is the contest? I'm going to make it very simple. In the spirit of the season, I will ask you to post to this thread about your most memorable Christmas. The one that you have the most joyous memories about. I like these kind of contests because I think they help us to get to know each other better and bring us closer as a family. Now because I realize that we are a diverse group here and I don't want to leave anybody out, I'm going to allow any of you who may not celebrate Christmas to substitute a similar holiday of your choice and if you don't celebrate any holidays at all, then just the most joyous event of your life will certainly suffice. Now I know that some folks are better writers than others so though I encourage you to take this seriously and write more than a two word post, the winner will again be chosen randomly from all the entries. Also, regardless of how many times you post to this thread, each person will receive only ONE chance. OH...and one last thing. Contest is open to supporting members only. So if you are not a supporting member, you still have time to take care of that little issue. So there you have it. On your mark, get set, GO. Good luck to all.
