  1. Wow take care of yourself, do you have someone in the area to get stuff to ya if you need anything. Get after the docs to get to the bottom of it ASAP and ask them about taking aspirin in case youre having a stroke, its real important and it makes a difference. If ya need something ask us in here and we will see what we can come up with to help you out. Get better quick, and we all hope its a quick easy fix for you. Brian
  2. Hey Dan try not to worry about the trailer we are going to try figure that out. what about you? Are you doing ok? Brian
  3. Wow that Challenger doesnt look like any ultralight ive ever seen, most around here look like motorized kites or parasail. That looks like a full fledged aircraft. Brian
  4. I am blaming my bad mood on the coldest March on record and record snowfall, BUT.. that doesnt excuse anything I might have said. So I apologize to anyone that I might have been short with. Brian
  5. I am kinda wondering if you have a bad fuel pump or a pugged fuel filter. Brian Ps get the phone number of a Yammie dealer in the states and get them to transfer the warranty on the bike to you. The warranty is on the bike. Then if you have a big issue pop up you can take the bike down to a US dealer and get things handled. The US warranty isnt valid in Canada but if you take the bike into the states they will honour it. Brian
  6. Its hard to say what will work for you as every area is different and we here north of the Tim Hortons line have a lot higher prices than the guys south. An 85 with 120,000 kms and showing its age with bits of rusty chrome etc went for 4800 here late last fall. Brian
  7. ultralights are frowned upon here too, but there are plenty around and a couple of guys every year die using them.( but still less than snowmobile and motorcycle deaths) But I cant give you any specific info on them. Brian
  8. THanks LArry I just placed an order and got a confirmation so I hope Ill be ok. But a couple of times i got a note and a refund the next day. I dont get it, a sale is a sale, all it takes is a phone call to find out what the extrra postage is and charge me for it. I guess some companies are making too much money. I will let you know tomorrow if things change on the order. Brian
  9. THanks Snag, that one seemed to work, but I have had a couple of companies refund the money back to my card the day after the transaction was done and said they dont ship up here. I guess we shall wait and see. Brian
  10. I Beleive you will get standard, as Ive been told that JIS are now usually (theres that term to cover ones butt) identified with a dot in the face of the screw. I cant find anyone here that sells JIS screwdrivers, and the only source in the US that Ive found so far wont ship to Canada. Does anyone know of a Canadian Distributor or of a company that will ship to Canada. Brian
  11. it looks a lot like the plastex product. Ive seen Rocket using plastex and this stuff looks very similar. Plastex comes in a few different colours but grey and black is fine for most stuff we do. Brian
  12. that makes 2 for the Scala Q2 So far I like mine, good sound little white noise. One of our sponsors is clearing them out right now at 169 bucks. http://www.motorcyclegear.com/parts/closeouts/accessories/cardo_systems/q2_multiset_bluetooth_rider_to_rider_intercom.html But when ordering dont use my link above use the one at the top of the page so VR gets the credit for the sale.
  13. I think a person should be a member before being allowed to sell anything in here. If not you could have lots of spammer types flogging everything in here. If a person becomes a memeber there is also a small amount of info collected on them in case something goes wrong, there is a better chance of a trace back. Brian
  14. You just like the way it sounds at that speed don't you.... I like the idle sound a bit lower too, it has a nicer rumble Brian
  15. wait for it...... brian
  16. Sorry to hear that yo have to sell. But we all understand that family does come first before all else. I think most of us have been there where you are at now, I got out of bikes for kids and wives but I always come back, and you probably will too, when the time is right. We hope you keep in touch in here, and if you dont have the bike, you will still have the laughs and the head shaking at all of us misfits. Brian
  17. If youre tight for space, why not just take a page outta the performance car book and mount the battery in the back in the trunk? If ya got some real heavy cables you would be fine if you reinforced the trunk. Brian
  18. Any guy can prolly use a trailer to haul stuff around, but it also doubles as my garage for my 85 VR. its easy to ride in and out with a good wheel chock mounted. It would also give you more space to hide those car parts inside as well so your wife doesnt see how many youve got.... Brian.
  19. Sounds like its tiime to take her shopping for a new bike then, or just rent something for her for a couple of weeks. Brian
  20. If the only reason is her clothing and stuff, just arrange for your hotels to receive your parcels from home, so you can pick up on your way thru, and then ship your old laundry and new purchases back home. On a long trip maybe stopping to buy new undies and sox along the way is better than packing it along.... Brian
  21. I think I might have the same accent but with a different emphasis on the EH! Brian
  22. I was wondering that too, the accent doesnt make the filter any better or worse...... We all gotta remember that we all have accents to someone else, ....... Brian
  23. Youre comparing apples and oranges as our bikes dont get anywhere near the pounding and vibration that a yamaha sled will get. I can see where a wet paper filter might fold over with the constant pounding and impacts going over snow drifts. A sled is a lot like a dirt bike as its going over the same terrain, but takes even more up and down movement, some times it seemed my sled had the skis in the air more often than they were on the ground. The odd pothole or skunk in the road just isnt the same kinda shock. Brian
  24. And I gather with the weather theyve had that it was frozen over? Brian
  25. Ive been running IE9 for quite some time at least a couple of months, and no issues. TuffTom, Perhaps you need an update to flash or java? I like i,t its fast and the layout is good. Brian
