  1. When you have the forks locked and turn the key off it is possible to turn the key on notch farther than locked and that turns on the park lights. It turns on signal lights etc. (Dont ask how I found out about this......) Brian
  2. Ive used tapatalk on my Blackberry and I like it while accessing this form, but it is a stripped down version and eliminates quite a few features from the full web interface. But that is also why I like it as it loads fairly quickly and keeps the interface uncluttered, and makes it easy to see and respnd to posts. Brian
  3. Yeah thats EXACTLY what i wuz thinking........
  4. I dunno, maybe the smartphone is smarter than we are.....
  5. Happy Birthday !!!!!!!:group cheers::group cheers:
  6. thanks for the input MIke, I already have progressives in Brownie and I love them, but now I am just trying to get class running. Brian PS youre a lightweight.....lol!
  7. It seems I have to remove the left fork cap and the remove the air line from the my class air compressor and use my shop air to blow the oil back into my forks as the class compressor doesnt have enough pressure to do this. It turns out that if a bike goes on its side oil can fill the class hoses and disable the compressor. So I need to know the size of the wrench needed to get that cap off. I know almost enough here to be dangerous, but I think I also need to make sure to get the bike on center stand and get weight off the front wheel. Is there anything else I need to know to pull this cap off? Brian
  8. Well said Don! THe Mods do a great job and I feel they are very fair in their no win situation. The mods kinda have Milk-bone underwear in this dog-eat-dog world.... Brian
  9. Very happy that youre ok!!!! I didnt see if you ride a G1 with the frame mounted fairing or the G2 with the fork mounted fairing. Brian
  10. sounds like mine, except for the exhaust , mine is louder with the Jardines on it. Brian
  11. to me it just looks like youve uploaded pics, i cant get the .mov file to play it just shows an image of my,......(errrr yours) instrument pod. Brian
  12. I cant find the one I had,........ and bobs shipping charges are gonna be less anyway. Brian
  13. My first ride of the year the class system was working fine, and then i had the error show up so I did the solder contacts on the class display head. Reassembled it, I could hear a click from the back when I used the class panel but compressor wouldnt run,and then got the e2 error. i really didnt know what it was but had a look at the compressor unit and found it had puked out oil everywhere over license plate etc. So i ordered a replacement compressor unit from ebay and installed yesterday, same issue, the class panel comes up normally but when i select front or back and adjust pressure i hear a solenoid click once but no compressor running and then after a minute the e2 error comes on. What am I missing, is there another componenet that is faulty? or did I get another compressor that doesnt work? Thanks in advance for any help, brian
  14. Let me check, if I still have it, you would be welcome to the spare I might still have. it has no holes. Ive heard from anyone that has tried drilling holes that it makes them run lean and just slows the Brownies down. (kinda like how they run when the lid is off the airbox) Brian

  16. I think its all those chili cook offs .......:rotfl:\ brian
  17. yes , that happens fairly frequently because of a dumb design flaw. but those bars rarely fully collapse from what Ive seen. Brian
  18. I drilled a fine hole in the pivot mechanism under the rubber boot and inserted a small screw with a bent washer to tighten things up a bit. loosen the screw to adjust mirror and then tighten Brian
  19. I think you must have had a bad weld or the bike had possibly been over before weakening it. I know of a few guys that have laid them over and the bar has held up and prevented a lot more damage. Brian
  20. American Idol is getting priority over putting new chrome on your bike?......... .you aint right!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: Brian
  21. if youre in Carson City spend a bit of time and tour around Lake Tahoe, its less than 30 mins away. Just make the circle around the Lake and enjoy the scenery. I find about 500 miles a day on a long trip is about right, if its only a one or 2 day trip you can go longer but you get real tired if you push it too far too many days in a row, and you dont enjoy things as much. Brian
  22. I dont know if it will work in this case, but in the past I have had a bit of luck in finding an identical machine that works right, searching for the file and then copying it to a usb drive and then pasting into the proper file on your machine and letting it overwrite. If your file is corrupt it should fix it. I cant see how this could make it worse as youre already not running properly, but be sure you use from the same OS. BUT I have been worng before....lol Brian
  23. It easier than that. Just take a pic of an RSTD from the angle that you want and send to stadri and they will draw the design for you and ask you to ok it and make changes until you like it, then theyll make it. Brian
  24. Mine was the front wheel speedo drive assy. But the cable was dry also and it was making noise too. Mine wasnt speed dependent, but the lower the temps the louder it got. Put your bike on the center stand and prop under the engine so the front tire is off the ground and spin it to test the theory that its your speedo. Brian
  25. Just a headsup up for you guys that stadri patches will do the design work for you for free if you send them a pics of the bike and explain what youre looking for for background etc. I have had them design a couple of patches now and they are cheaper than anyone ive found and have great service. You just order through their website or call. (Hint, its almost same price to order 100 as to order 50, go figger!) http://www.stadriemblems.com/embroideredpatches.html Brian
