Anyone that has an Android tablet or phone can download ForumRunner or Convo for free from AppBrain or Android Market. They do essentially the same thing as the Tapatalk client, basically stripping all the extras off the postings so all you load is mostly text, saving you a ton of bandwidth. (handy if youre using a phone to connect, but not really necessary if youre using wifi or any broadband connection. Brian

Hi Russ Its an app for ipad/iphone/android that allows access to forums like this without loading a bunch of graphics etc allowing use of a lower bandwidth connection. I use it on my android tablet when i need to, but not thrilled with it as I like all the extras i can get with my home connection. Brian

there are a few settings on the first page that may be incorrect, but You should check with your ISP as you may have a pop3 account not an IMAP Account, and while the incoming mail settings look ok, the outgoing mail is usually smtp.yourmailserver or whatever the ISP sets up. Brian

Why do you do that to your poor wife? We have had a gorgeous winter here and you wait until its the coldest weather to send her out here. Youre just so mean to Nina.... Brian

I understand there are some offshore places that just generate random numbers and run small amounts through that wont be noticed immediatly to see if the account is active, and then in a day or 2 they come back and go for some large withdrawls. A couple people I know have had it happen and all had creditcards tied to their bank account to do the direct debit. its probably not that youve been hacked its that theyve just picked you at random and ran your account against the banks database. I kept my tent price under a hundred bucks because I figured if it was too hot or too cold and wet I was going ot be in a motel anyway. I just couldnt see spending the extra for all the extras when i am really just a fairweather camper and would never need a tent that would handle 100mph winds or torrential downpours. brian

I wasnt there but here is the story as I heard it:backinmyday: At the first Cody Roundup Russ had trouble with his bike getting tired while going through Yellowstone and it laid down for a rest. And then Last summer while going through Yellowstone again, Russ ran his bike outta gas. So this electric bike that cant be tipped over really does cover all of Russ's problems with the Virago. ........(well most of them anyway.....) Brian

I just caught an article that John Lehman of Lehman trikes passed away. He had recently made arrangements to sell the company, but his life ended to early to enjoy his retirement. http://www.bikerspost.com/forum/topics/john-lehman-founder-of-lehman-trikes-passes Brian

You might send gordo a message, when we were riding last summer he was telling me he injected a mix of something into the shock and it stopped his shock leaking. I cant remember any details but Gord was saying that his shock has been fine for a couple of years since he did that fix, whatever it was. Brian -
Have you tried contacting Buddy Rich? Maybe he has an idea whatcha need. Brian

I found out after buying my Scala q2 headsets that there are a couple of different protocols for bluetooth to communcate. My scala set will synch up to my cell phones and will pickup the voice on a gps, but will not stream music, as I tried to stream it from my new tablet using Bluetooth. When i asked Scala, they said there is no fix other than buying their newer, more expensive headsets. (I still can get music to the headset using a cord though) I hope you have more luck than I did. Its unfortunate that the Transcanada hiway runs thru the most flat part of Saskatchewan. There are a few interesting points between Regina and Calgary on the TransCanada slab like the Cypress Hills Park. . A couple of hours north of the TC Hiway and there are rolling hills and farther north are the 2/3 of the province that are lakes and forest. Some of the best fishing and hunting in the world are here and we have wilderness like almost no where else because everyone thinks saskatchewan only has flat farmland. Youre going to love Banff, and if you get a chance do the ride on the icefields Highway beween Banff and Jasper National Parks. I would also ride the TC hiway west and take Rogers pass over the Rockies into BC ,....amazing scenery. I wouldnt worry about gas stops as youre on major hiways but I would still stop and fill about every 90 mins just to keep on the full side. Brian

If youre taking highway 39 to the transcanada highway, you have good highways all the way , but like Jactana says it is flat! Ill put a link below of a ride we did down that highway to Estevan from Regina this past October with a video of us travelling thru Estevan,(your first real town after crossing the border at Portal.). At Regina its 4 lanes all the way to Calgary (about 8 hours at 75mph or 120kmh). If you come this way to Regina, stop in for a ice cream and coffee and if you want a sofa to crash on, youre welcome to stay here as well. Let me know how your plans shape up and mabbe I can work in a ride for a bit of your trip too. If youre planning around June28-29 youre welcome to ride with me as I ride to Nelson BC for Kruisn the Kootenays, or plan to attend for a day on your trip and meet some of the West Canada crazies. If you need more info just pm me and ill be happy to help you out any way I can.
