Well, need I ask??????? Mute button,,, don't ask me why I say this. Check your attenna lead. Make sure it's put together right at the bracket. The center wire, attenna, should not touch ground, but the ground should be good. You won't get any sound from the CB unless someone is talking to you on the same channel or you turn the squelch right down. Check your headphone button. Carl

To get the race off I used a Dremel tool to cut the race,,, maybe a bit of a danger of slightly cutting through the race, but no danger of melting the aluminum or over heating anything else. It also saved a lot of time by the look of things. The final bit of cutting was done with a cold chisel and a freindly!!! pursuader. -
Oh boy, what a bummer,, tough times for sure and it isn't getting any better for you right now. But you have good skills and a grand personality, and a wife that's working, right??? So you have some good things going for you, but not all those pay the bills. As it is, I'll be moving sometime in November I hope, and plan to have lots of help to do this,,,, might need someone to motivate these folks properly,,,, maybe you could practise a little to keep your skills fine tuned.

I picked up a new fuse panel at CarQuest. It's just a matter of interchanding the clips. You do need to solder the wires on, but the clips fit in the present holder. I'll see if I can find a part # for you. Couldn't find a part number, but I got some picture instead. The holder on the left is what I use. It is pop riveted on so you'll need to drill it off. Hope this helps.

Looking real good,,,, but what's with all the sunshine????????? Who asked for that??? -
This is a safety issue more so that an oil issue. Once you have run your bike, there will always be oil on the moving parts, although as it warms it lubs better. The issue then is from a safety stand point. Different scoots have different needs, but your scoot should respond well to the throttle before you take off. If you leave the choke out while riding you just might discover at your first stop that things are not slowing and responding as expected and cause you a little head ache or worse, body ache. If your throttle response is not good you might find that your scoot will hiccup just when you go to turn out of your parking place, that would be enough to 'knock' it over and pin something under it. So in my opinion, it needs to be warm enough so not to stall when the choke is pulled off and it responds smoothly to the throttle.

We'll keep on praying for you, my friend. Life is promised to be a bed of roses, but He promises to be there all the way through, and to give strength and endurance so that in the end we may all enjoy perfection.

Actually there are two connectors that might give you headaches. 1st is the three wire connector, that's 3 white wires, coming directly from the stator to the regulator, some guys solve this issue with a soldering job and that makes good sense. The other connector comes from the regulator and goes to the bike, Like Bob says, it craps up once in a while and maybe in certain cases need to be replaced, like mine. Your tach signal comes from this one and that might have something to do with you other issues as well. Good Luck, let us know how you make out.- 30 replies

Weather patterns change from time to time, and what we are experiencing this year probably has been the case in the past as well. Often times my thoughts go back about 100 years and I wonder how folks dealt with this kind of weather back then. They didn't have all the modern conveniences that we have available to us today. We are much better set up either drought or deluge,, not saying we can't be a little discouraged at times, but it makes me have more respect for how they managed through it all back then. Must have been a chore and a worry.

Too bad for you,,, it's gone. Suppose it's best anyways, seeing as brown has been proven faster of late.

We're waiting on the closing to 'deal with the remote issue'. There's enough room for a 'pond' if necessary. We planned on looking at it Wednesday morning, even though it was listed at 259,000. Got a call from my agent just after lunch, and before he could make an appointment, that they had dropped the price by 30 grand. We looked and tooked. It's just the ticket, couldn't have asked for better. They had it listed for 2 months and just wanted to get out,,, NOW,,,,,,,soooooo, we were place at the right place at the right time,,,,, what a Shepherd we have. AWESOME.
