After living in the remote wilderness of West Virginia all his life, an old hillbilly decided it was time to visit the big city. In one of the stores he picks up a mirror and looks in it. Not ever having seen one before, he remarked at the image staring back at him, "How about that! Here's a picture of my Daddy." He bought the mirror thinking it was a picture of his Daddy, but on the way home he remembered his wife didn't like his Father, so he hung it in the barn, and every morning before leaving for the fields, he would go there and look at it. His wife began to get suspicious of these many trips to the barn. One day after her husband left, she searched the barn and found the mirror. As she looked into the glass, she fumed: "So that's the ugly thing he's been running around with." SHHHHHH don't anybody say I posted this!!!!!

No real concern on the power draw, unless you plan on blowing this new found toy on a continual basis. You will need to use the right wire size from the battery through the relay to the horn. Now if you plan to install an eighteen wheeler air horn, or one from a locomotive,, you may want to upgrade your charging system a little. As mentioned, the Bad Boy is the way to go, and will run fine off of the stock system.

I have a Sears (Roper) tractor that I've had for 25 years and bought used went is was about 10 years old. Got a new deck for it when I bought it. Wore out the deck, snow blower and trailer, but the old girl still runs and does all the lawn rolling and aerating, along with other hard to do yard work. Put a couple of batteries in it, along with 2 new tires, plugs one time and ignition wires. Changed the oil once as well I think,, uh maybe more often. I have since bought a Deere F525, front mount mower that cuts the 1 acre of grass. It's was used when I got and now is used some more. Nicest mower I've ever had,,, hope it keeps going as long as the Sears,, but I doubt it.

AMA members select America's 15 best motorcycling roads
Marcarl replied to Michael_Bishop's topic in Watering Hole
Guess nobody there rode north of the border. In my eyes there is no nicer road anywhere, than Madeleine Road near Brantford,,,,,, it leads to HOME!!!! and away from home. It's the road I ride most often.- 22 replies

Also check to make sure there is s ground cable from the engine to the frame. And while you're at the starter, take it off and give it a little service. Need help with that just ask.

Speak for yourself,,,,,,,, hey I mean, who you talking about,,, you should know by now that I have a friend in Texas, and one or two in NY, and even found one in Ontario,,, and now that I think of it,,,, they resemble that remark.

Was wondering how you were doing, but then I was on the road with no computer, by the time I get home, I forgot what I was trying to remember to do.' Good to hear your doing good,,,, back to work as well? How are the 'kids' behaving.

You say your speakers are good,,, did you actually get sound out of them,, or do they just look good? If you haven't heard sound coming from them, hook them up to something that will give you sound, just to be sure.

I don't want this to go political, or religious, but for the Japanese, religion is part of life, they intermingle daily life with their religion, no separation. In North America we work hard to separate life and religion, so, no state and religion, no school and religion, no business and religion,, religion is to be kept on it's own, hidden in a closet, so nobody else can comment on it, touch it, nor is it imposed on anybody. Life to some people is more than the the goings on on this earth, there is an afterlife, much bigger and greater than what is here in this earth. That's what they live for, so whether we we live or whether we die, the life here after is the important thing. I could go on, but will not, don't want to screw up this thread. Hope nobody else does either. I will pray for those in Japan,,, and New Zealand,,, and Chile,,,, and Indonesia,,,, and Haiti,,, and other parts of this world that are getting hit by disasters,,,, as well as for the N. American people who you so well described. -
Lot of good facts about Ontario,,,,, Hope you can keep it all straight,,, now just to ride Ontario!!!!!

Seems like the first time I heard about you, you were doing the same kind of fool things, like crawling under the floor to fix something with the water,,,,, when are you going to learn,,, those are warm weather chores best to do when the riding season is over. Now does that make sense?????? well it's getting late,, must be the keyboard!!!!

I just use Moto Master carb cleaner to get the job started, then use a brush in a container with Dunk, also available at CTC. Seems to clean what I need to clean. If it's tough, then it sits in the Dunk over night. I would be interested in that unit from Harbor Freight though,,,, next time I visit a foreign country maybe.

Tell us more about the 'wobble'. Do the handle bars wiggle back and forth, does the whole bike seem to squiggle down the road, at what speeds do you notice it, does it do it under acceleration, does it do it under deceleration, how is it in the corners and at what speeds and does it do it either right or left, is it different if there are 1 or 2 on the scoot, when's the last time you checked the fork oil. just a couple of questions1

I find that the best ride around here is the one that starts and ends at home, my home that is. In between, any ride is good, except when you get too close to any major cities, and it never too far to go around,,, we don't have Chicago here. Temp are great from mid May to mid October for anything south of Huntsville, (north of Toronto) although sometimes it can get a little cooler at night. North of Huntsville, if you want to be guaranteed warm riding, best plan on July and August. We have flat country, London to Windsor, Farming country, London to Niagara Falls (a must see) and north to Toronto, Owen Sound line. Cottage Country with lakes and streams north of the farming line, to North Bay . Frontier Country north of North Bay. West of Peterbourgh to Ottawa, lots of hills, twists, and turns and a lot less population, and gas stops. Tell us how much time you want to spend here and we'll give you lots of riding routes and things to see. My wife and I can easily spend 2 weeks riding south of the cold line and not get bored. Don't worry about the language issue, we understand almost any foreign tongue, heck we have no problem with Bob, so we do well even with speech impediments. Your money is good at par all over the province, at least for now. We're so poor, we'll take a chance on almost anything. We don't normally make trouble for ourselves or any foreigners, but there are times that we have fun,,, mostly at a foreigners expense, so you can feel quite safe,,,, not just because our jails are filled to the max. Sleeping accommodations are all over the map, normally within a days ride of where you leave in the morning. North of the cold line you might want to plan a little ahead. You can motel or camp, either is available and quite handy. We normally ride until we want to stop and then find a place to sleep. Occasionally we found it difficult to find a vacancy sign, but that's rare. Prices range from $50 for 2 beds to the skys the limit. Plan on $80 for a good night rest, but more in the resort areas. Nice thing is, if you don't like it where you are, mostly an hour or two will get you into completely different territory. The weather is mostly changing, if you don't like what we're having right now, just wait a while, and maybe it'll change for the better. Mostly though, if you're not tied to any planned route you can ride around the bad stuff, if you get my drift. Sights to see: Niagara Falls,,, could be an easy 2 day visit. Queenston, if you're interested in Canada, US history, but also nice country to ride. Part of the Niagara Falls area. CN tower, Toronto and our 'famous' Blue Jays. They haven't won the Stanley Cup for a long time. Walk from one to the other. You may want to spend some time at Canada's Wonderland, north of Toronto, not cheap but it'll take all day. Roller coasters and such. Thousand Islands in the Kingston area is picturesque. Some history there as well. Ottawa, our nations capital. Only an hour to get into, but it seems we can never get anybody out of there. Nice but very time consuming due to traffic. On the whole, we have the best province. We may not have it all together, but together we have it all. We have country, country and more country, and just enough towns and cities to keep you happy. Anything else you want to know???? no problems, short answers are my specialty. And oh, almost forgot, MarCarls' Meet & Greet is on May 28,,,, all day, starts at 12 and finishes at 1, Best happening north of the border. If you can't make it for that, guess we'll have to plan for another. Shucks I hate that!!!!!:happy65:
