  1. I like that Idea. If I can make my carbs back to work, I'll consider it. If not, may be for the next bike....
  2. Do you think that he will take trades? It sounds interesting...
  3. Ok, Guys don't exasperate!!!! Now we know why he is driving a CB 750.... Our payment is nothing in retribution of what we got from all our people around. Ah, don't forget the cost of maintenance for the monster of the pound, that we only can watch once or twice a year... But still, you don't need to pay. Just finish your trial. Ah, we don't have a section for CBs...
  4. Vote for Justin David already submited. Good Luck, GrandMa!!! :080402gudl_prv:
  5. If you will going to tune the antenna and SWR make it so low as you can close to 1.1. Almost impossible to go lower than that. Good Luck. Also, In order to avoid problems, be sure your antenna has ground plane on it.
  6. Ok, Nobody knows or never install Saddlebags Crash Bars. After review everything, and thanks to the review with Carbon One (Thanks Larry) and STAR4772 (Thanks Joe), we conclude that the draw that comes with the bars originals from YAMAHA was WRONG!!! We finished putting the lower plates on the opposite as YAMAHA recomended since it was not letting the swing arm to work all the way free. Only put this here to let them know to somebody else that could be on the same boat that I was during this weekend.... AH, THANKS YAMAHA for let me scratch the paint on the swing arm. Nothing like to be cover with an original part.... :no-no-no::no-no-no::no-no-no::no-no-no::no-no-no::no-no-no::no-no-no:
  7. Ok, Can somebody that has a RS 96 or 97 with saddlebags guards tell me where the plates are attached? Specially the lower one, since it seems that the upper one has no other side that the front saddlebag holder bolt. I start to believe is that the bar attached to both rear fender and lower part of the frame is not letting the shock move and the suspension work. Thanks,
  8. After 2 years I found the saddlebags guard bars for the RS 97, and i got them. (Yes I paid at least 100$ over the price since it is not on the market anymore...). I finished to put it, and I didn't realize that one of the upper plates is not on the same positition regarding the saddlebag than the other one. After I runned the bike yesterday, it seems that my rear shock is not longer working now. Did somebody had been on the same situation any time? I'll correct that now, but I wonder if due to the lateral force the shock is not on perfect line and that is enough to stop working. Or when I put the lower plates, and release each one of the two bolts that holds the frame on each lower side (One at the time) that some way released the shock and now is totally loose, and this is the real reason for the shock not working anymore since it is loose. Thanks for any advise on this.:sick::sick:
  9. "...Also, I have tested the diodes in the rectifier, with a DVOM on the diode test position, and I have continuity in both directions, on all diodes except 2...." That is your problem: Diodes only has continuity on one direction. That is their Job (Rectify). The 2 you mention only has continuity on one direction? if yes, they're OK. If no continuity at all? they 're blowed. The ones that has continuity on both: ARE GONE... If I was you, I put all new rectifier bridge. :no-no-no::no-no-no:
  10. For all that I read about, this is the more complete one to use on motorcycles or any other sports... http://gopro.com/products/?gclid=CIH8jKrMx7ACFSMDQAod-Q3uYg Motorcycle sports option is 239.99$ :080402gudl_prv: Ah, almost forget it: Happy Father's Day...
  11. Antenna position I have mine fixed, and if I take a curve sometimes it lost signal and come back as soon as the antenna come back to position.

  19. Dingy is correct, you need to check how much current are you use on your gizmo with your 4.5 V AAA bateries. Do you have a multimeter? if the answer is yes, put it on AMP, and the higher scale you have on it. Put the multimeter between the positive end of the battery and the gizmo. And the other side of the gizmo connected to the negative. Check the amperage, and the way to get the right resistor will be : (12v-4.5V)/(amperage reading). Also the power that the resistor will dissipate is (7.5V)*amperage. So when you purchase the resistor, not only you need to choose it for his value, but also for the power that is able to dissipate. Good luck.... :detective:
  20. LED's are LED's. If the burned in 30 secs is because one of two reasons: A.- The voltage is receiving is higher than what is able to support in mode ON. B.- The reverse voltage is higher than the supported peak. Highly possible CustomDynamics is using one led with a limiter resistor or active component (DIAC) that limit those two parameters. Both are easy to test on a bench with a multimeter or one Oscilloscope. Good luck, Calperin :detective:
  21. The problem is not that they don't know how to lower the bike. They didn't learn how to rise the floor!!!! :rotf::rotf::rotf: :cool10::cool10::cool10::cool10:
  22. I would love to meet you there. But I have to confirm this at the middle of the week. Need to prepare the bike, and confirm if I can take off next Friday. Calperin :cool10:

  24. Ok, I asked this before with no replies, let's try once more: I receive my box with the AIR KIT STEALTH BARON RSTD 96-2000. I know that on one of the carburetors I saw a slow movement of the diaphragm getting back to the normal position, and I think that was also a little grasse or oily (I think that cilynder is the reason of some backfires). I'm trying to fix this problem and get better performance, so somebody has some experience with this??? Any help will be welcome. Thanks :detective:
