  1. I know is almost time to go back home, but Who is close to South Haven, Mi??? I plan to ride tomorrow afternoon around, since Sunday morning we 're facing back home...
  2. I left my stebel on the side, the high tone inside the left lower fairing but add two baron horns on the front. I was tired of drivers that didn't pay attention on bikes... btw, Brackets can be order to Carbon One, he 's the best for those details...
  3. It looks nice and cheap, did the Carbon One adapter works on it?
  4. It is not 100% needed if you have the right tool. If you have the articulate cricket wrench don't need to. However, to be safe is better do it. Regards,
  5. About the pipes, those are not the originals. Pretty sure they're really loud for that bike. Not my taste. The original 4 are the best for me.
  6. Hi, I have that problem before. First verify that your carb is iddle between 900 to 1000 rpm. On my I found that since the iddle was so low on rpm, the tach was allways bouncing in low or idle. After that, no more problems. Also, I added the passing lamps, but take off the seal units and put HID as well as leds on the back, in order to minimize the power consumption. Regards,
  7. My protected place is send it up, then above the battery I'm sending it back down for a couple of inches, and cut it there. No way liquid get inside the horn. I have mine for the last 5 years working as the first day....
  8. Check on Pynwall. I saw some lid covers there. Both sides.
  9. Finish to pay 170 $ for them, almost impossible to get them except you're ready to be ripped by YamahaRipper... I mean Dealer...
  10. My first suggestion is NO!!! I was working on mine 84 to have it working, and you have a special done for the CB that you have. However, you should be able to use the wiring for headset connected to the AM/FM or an MP3. Somebody posted a Marine one that seems pretty nice to allocate on the covers... IMHO...
  11. My ears still are a little bumping due to the old Road Kings, but now it sounds as a Yamaha again... And they're a little more noisy due to the holes at the end... And yes, everything is on it finally!!!! And we raised about 1 inch, since the front forks had no pressure at all. Are you sure you don't want the pipes? You can pay that at any time. I have no rush..
  12. As Larry said, I'll be there once you arrange with them. Just let us know. Hope to see you soon. :cool10:
  13. Ok, When can we start the orders???? Oh,,, I forget I need two and order the flag mount bar. When can we order with discount???
  14. Check my pictures on the Gallery and let me know specifc what do you want to see more specifically. Thanks,
  15. Playboy, No, is not the 97 RS, is the new 2000 VR. It comes with HD pipes, but they 're really noisy for my taste and my neighbors too. Wife start to tell me that she liked more the 97RS since she didn't hear me when I arrived at home.... You know the history, got the standard ones and tried to change it. Didn't work. Carlos :confused24::confused24: :sick::sick:
  16. Ok, thanks to everybody for the tips. I 'll have to wait until next week end since I plan to use the bike during the week to go work. Recomendations on where to get the rubber mallet? I don't need to cut the clamps since I can take them off easily. The problem is once I remove it and also take off the bushing it is almost impossible to remove the muffler. Tried to bend each one of the pieces of the beginning of the muffler, but since to be melted. Joe recomended to heat the pipes with a torche, to make the muffler get hot enough to have some expansion... I think that could be a good idea. Again, thanks to each one of you guys. Next week I 'll let you know how it ends.
  17. Yes, thanks I have those. My mufflers are for VR not RSTD. They have the same support for both HD and VR I thought you was talking on the ones that are against the extension pipe. Any way, I cannot take them off. I'm putting everything back and I'll check for some garage to do this. I cannot do it by myself. Thanks,
  18. Ok, I already removed the clamps and first at all the saddlebags. No, I purchased the bike with the HD mufflers on it, but they're really noisy so I don't have any rubber parts or anything else but the stock mufflers I get from some other friend on this site. And inside it seems that they have a metal bushing on the front. Is that what you're referring to? The issue is that they 're so tight that I cannot take them out. That is the history. I don't know what else to do. Thanks,
  19. Well, It depends. But if you want an VR84 with all addons including CB and all the chromes, I 'm selling one that needs paint, battery and remove the rust from 4 years on the storage. I'm selling that and a Suzuki 82 non working for 2000$. In Southfield, Mi. A lot of parts, including fairing, winshield, mufflers, wiring, etc.... All to go. It runned great, stop using it when I purchased my 97 RS. Calperin
  20. Somebody can help on how is the best and carefull way to remove the HD pipes to reinstall the original ones? I already remove the clamp, but seems that the inner pipe didn't moved at all when I can see that the bracket on the back already moved at least 3/4". Even the buffer is out, but I don't want to scratch anything. Thanks, Carlos :stirthepot:
  21. Ah, THat is a good one... Any offers???
  22. Joe, Thanks, Yes I saw EagleRider and it 's around 133/day for what I would like to ride. The other one seems to be only of Ninja bikes. Not my style, and not too much cheaper... I was expecting to get something else. Nobody rents Yamaha Cruisers or Tourers... It seems that will be HD... Carlos
  23. Guys, For job reasons I'll spent 4 days on CA, on the El Segundo Area (Close to LA). I 'm trying to check how much could be to rent a bike for two days and were to do it. I found only two HD dealers that do that but only up to HD prices.... There are any other choices? THanks,
  24. Very good question. I would love to have this info too. I only was able to found the people on Ohio that advertise on our website. :lightbulb:
