  1. Hey, my brain is still thawing from the winter- will there be a reminder next year when we will need to reup on the dues? or is something available to look up on the site to remind me?
  2. I just replaced mine with aftermarket ones. The first were from Pyramid Parts, not the correct one they had no step down to them and would not seat far enough into the tubes for all the pieces that go on top to secure the retainer clip! The second set I got had the proper measurements to replace all parts perfectly ! I guess its buyer beware, :buttkick:But now I really know how to do seals and springs. I kinda would like to try it again against the clock to see how fast I could do it, Not hard at all
  3. I did it the easy way!!!!!!! I bought a set of Grip Puppies and they slid over the stock grips, quite easy and nice and comfortable!
  4. It is for both, it is the stock antenna. I'll check for this washer plate, I never really looked for one- its probably not there!!! Thanks
  5. I think I found why my antenna won't tighten down properly. It looks like the base bolt that screws up into the plastic base of the antenna is slightly bent, probably not allowing the plastic base to tighten down properly. Can I straighten it out or does the part need to be replaced????
  6. I have a set that Marcarl gave me for my 89VR, I don't know if they will work for your year ! If they will work they are yours. I have been hanging on to them for just something like this. Ron
  7. are they around 75 bucks or was that just the shipping cost of around 20 bucks to canada?
  8. Perfect tip, it worked great and thanks for the help
  9. you are in my prayers, going thru some neurological tests myself, hope they find your answer soon!

  13. during fork seal replacement.when you begin to reinstall all the tiny parts that go into the lower leg of the fork and onto the dampening rod, what is the secret to make sure all the little parts stay where they belong while trying to put the lower section on?

  15. I picked up 2 vacuum (needle dial) gauges made by a company called Actron, these are dual purpose for vacuum and fuel pressure. On the fuel pressure side it measures in PSI 0-15, and kPa 0-105. On the vacuum side it measures 0-30 in.Hg and 0-76 cm Hg. Does anyone have any idea what type of base line vacuum reading I might get on a well tuned 1st Gen. I read I'm to sync carb 2 to 1 and so on, but what if 1 is wrong to start with? Sorry its just how my mimd works.
