capn eddie replied to mother's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
you can get the top screw out without removing that cover ,took mine out two day ago ,you use a screwdriver by putting it through the hole in the left rear cover into the screw use a drop light and you will see the screw head it worked for me should work for you. -
Dano have starter clutch ?
capn eddie replied to capn eddie's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
well i recieved my flywheel puller today and went out and installed it on the flywheel cranked it down with my electric impack gun, then took a hammer hit the center bolt on the puller and off came the flywheel on the first try. worked so good i tryed it on a crank i bought for a friend that had a rotor still on it and same thing came right off like the first one. This puller was worth the money. it's the one sold by pcw racing. boxed up my rotor and took it to post office and it's on it's way to Dano. -
Dano have starter clutch ?
capn eddie replied to capn eddie's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
No i am waiting on ups to show up but as soon as it gets here im on it until win. I have all the other parts needed just need the puller so i can send rotor to Dano -
thank's for the info guys , when the new puller gets here i will attack it again. about two weeks ago i bought a crank for an 83 that had the rotor and clutch on it for $20.00 because the seller could not get the rotor off so i got both so if someone needs a rotor i will have a spare when i get it off, then i can give the crank shaft to my friend that needs it. Dano i will pm you when i get it off . Now when i get this done my bike will be done, at least that what i thought last time before the starter clutch shot craps.

looks good mike, i am waiting for my new flywheel puller so i can pull my rotor off and send it to Dano so he can fix mine. tryed a harmonic ballancer puller but it self destructed. the new one is from pcw raceing and is for pulling the flywheel on a vmax, should be here on monday. anyway thank's for the pic and i hope you get some nice weather for a test ride. Come on warm weather:biker:

1st an 2nd Genaration tell the different??
capn eddie replied to ronjolly's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
all i can say is lets see how many of your 2nd genners bikes are still running after they have been around for 23 or 27 years like the 1st gen have. . you know the 1st gens are faster and don't look like a harley. you could get a 2nd gen to go fast but you have to remove all the safety chrome and then get a 1st gen to pull you behind it so you can feel what it feels like to go fast. -
thank's gary pay pal and info sent for one.

i think plan B should be that you send us the tool and we could clean that edge up, saves you time and labor. just my thoughts, what does everyone think.

i think you need to replace the starter and be done. i had one that would test ok off the bike but under load on the bike it would drag . replaced it with a new starter off ebay (that in your first post i told you can get for $91.oo) and no more draging starter. worked for me. these starters are in the vmax parts on ebay for more info go to post #6 in you first post.
