    I hope someone is keeping tabs on her. She has a rough transition to deal with. If needed it might be a good idea for a bunch of us here in the Northeast to do a ride-in to help her with any problems she may be having with the house/yard work etc. Boomer.....who has no tools but can be a grass-cutting fool on any lawnmower....and mowing down flowers is my specialty.

    Get on the horn and let Yamaha know what you are going through. And don't be afraid to post the Dealer's name and address HERE for all to see. Boomer........who has no mercy on incompetent Dealers and thinks they should be shipped to Egypt to be camel salesmen.

    Don't feel too bad.....I did the Miracle Ride as well and I spent nearly 40 minutes looking for my scoot as well. From now on when I go on big Rides like this I'm putting the flagpole on the scoot and flying Old Glory! Boomer.....who hates playing hide and seek with a scoot.

    Fatigue and dehydration combined will knock a good man down quicker than anything I know. I saw it in action today during a Patriot Guard Mission. I recognized the warning signs and placed the Rider in the shade and pumped the fluids into him. When all looked well we then placed him into an air conditioned Cage for the rest of the Mission. When he left the Mission I and another RC escorted him home just to be sure he made it safe. Boomer......the eagle-eyed Ride Captain who does more than just ogle the wimmen..

    With a new oil filter in place I put in exactly 3 quarts and 8 ounces of oil. No problems whatsoever here with overflow. Boomer.....who dislikes the sightglass method.

    Barons offers 1 1/2" Riser Extenders and do NOT require extra length of the cables. I was ready to put them on my Venture and then had the Butler Seat Mod done.Now that I sit lower INTO the seat there was no need to put the Riser Extenders on. I sold them to one of our Canadian members here. Boomer......whose knuckles drag the ground when he walks.

    Squid has it right! Until I had Rick do the seat on my 06 I could not go more than 300 miles despite numerous rest stops. This riding season has been heaven! I have the Utopia backrest but have NOT put it on the bike. That seat mod did the trick for me. Longest ride to date was over 800 miles when I did Vermont Thunder....In the saddle at 6AM and home at 11PM. Boomer........who only looks back to see if the Law is chasing him.

    I have seen my fair share of tragedy when it comes to these people who drink and then drive. WRONG IS WRONG no matter what your standing in the community is. Six years in jail is nothing compared to the guy who lost his life. Boomer.....who wishes he had all the public funds spent on "educating the public about drinking and driving".

    Over the last few weeks I and roughly 15 riding friends have been doing night rides. We group up at 8PM,gas up,and head out. Needless to say the rides have been great. Very relaxing, little traffic, and much better temps to ride in. I have noticed that all of us tend to ride at lower speeds than we do during daylight hours as well. Granted the scenery is diminished but other than that it is still good riding! Most of our ice cream stops are open until 11PM so that's an added plus. Anybody else here doing the same thing? Comments welcomed. Boomer.........racking up the miles day and night here.

    Yo Eck.....Why dontcha plan a 2 week stay up heah in Noo England.....I have a list of "To Do" items on my Venture that will cure you of being so darn gracious and helpful. Boomer........who has no garage,no tools, but plenty of Jim Beam and neighborhood squirrels to scare.

    Your Guardian Angel saved your bacon for sure! Nice to know there are folks out there who will go the extra mile to help someone too. Boomer.....who knows darn well if it had been me that incident would have busted every bottle of hooch in the trailer.

    Could have saved yerself a lot of grief if you had not put on any mufflers and just ran straight pipes on the scoot. Boomer.....still spooking the squirrels outta the trees and waking up the Granny's from their behind the wheel naps with those 4-2-4 Nasty Boys.

    I hear that quish-quish sound on my RSV also.but the sound comes from......... my seat. Boomer.....who knows quish-quish can happen anytime after a overload of chilli.....and the nearest bathroom is miles away.

    Saw 1 other Venture within the last month at a Patriot Guard Mission.....and he was from another State. The Ventures are as scarce as hens teeth up heah in Noo England. The Hardley's are like mushrooms and are everywhere.....and the roads are littered with their parts and teardrops of their owners. Boomer........who knows Willy G. is living high on the hog.

    I have 2 brand new Michelin Commander rear tires sitting on the shelf. As soon as I use them up I am going to the darkside for sure. Boomer......who's never gonna mention putting a car tire on the scoot to the wife ever again.
