Damn!! I just received this from my younger borther in Montana, who just had a 6 way by-pass. With him the Lexiscan didn't show any blockages either, but the Angio showed 8. I just emailed my doctor a copy. . First thing I am glad you are addressing your symptoms. FYI, I had the Lexiscan Test after I failed to come even close to completing the nuclear treadmill stress test and that didn’t show any blockages either. But it did tell the Doc that something was not right so a Coronary Angiography was ordered and that’s when the blockages were discovered. My symptoms came when I was exercising and were an ache jaw, getting tired and out of breathe real easy and those were the only symptoms I had experienced but I knew something was wrong, I would really want more tests if I were you. Comparing a Lexiscan test to a Coronary Angiography procedure is like comparing a CAT scan to a MRI, there is a big difference. Good luck Bro, I don’t want anything to happen to you!

Well I've taken all the tests, and there's nothing wrong with the ticker. Did a Lexiscan on Monday, and there ain't no blockages. Diagnosis.... I'm way over weight, and grossly out of shape.. So.... I'm seriously back on my no goody diet, and starting to work up to power walking in the mornings. I need to loose 100 pounds... Starting NOW!! At least I know I won't keel over and die while out hoofing it....

I just did the HGTV Dream House contest. Twice a day for 40+ days. I know I'd have a better chance of getting hit by lightening, but it was fun to dream,,about the house in Park City UT. If I do win it?? Maybe VR International in 2013-14??? http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv-dream-home-2012-giveaway/package/index.html

I picked up one of those Venture Line led wings for the RSV, and did you know that one of those little 9volt batteries will work to light them up for testing.... At least they did on mine.... A little easier than dragging out the big 12vdc.

Sometime in 2005 BC. Missed the Bakersfield VWII as I'd just picked up the '83, and was fighting gremlins. Didn't do III in Death Valley either as it was against my riding rules... 50f-80f and dry. As I recall it was under 50f and wet. Susanville was my first VW and had a great time and finally started to get confidence in the bike.... Since then I've been to a few more....

Nope nothing. I don't give it much hope. A rattle can paint job and different plates off a junker trailer will pretty much make it disappear forever. I've filed a claim with the insurance company. Just waiting to get the police report and then forward a bunch of paperwork to the adjuster. The big problem is what the pay off will be... what I paid for it, or replacement cost??? I even ran into a snag on how they treat the loss. I called them a while back after reading a post here about coverage. I assumed it was like a car trailer, but called to verify. Nope it wasn't. So I added it to the policy and was told there would be no change in the premium. When I called in the claim they originally didn't know WTH I was talking about, but finally found the record of the call. Now they've switched adjusters and want to start all over again with a new recorded statement. I really don't like the way this is headed. It may turn out OK, but if I get shafted I'll let everyone know the company and to avoid them.

I think that's common practice Gary. A couple of weeks ago I dropped into a Carl Jr's to pick up two Big Carl Combos, for the wife and I, that were on sale for $5 ea. The guy asked me what size and I said the regular. When I got to the window they had 12 something due. I started thinking 5+5+tax should only come to $10.80. So I asked them what they charged and they replied to what mediums went for .... I told them I ordered the one on the sign in the window. So they rebilled me for the $10.80.... and I got the mediums... So it pays to stall a bit....

Bought one of those for my father in law a while back. Strictly nostalgia. He dropped his first one overboard while coming back from Guam on a troop ship. You'da thought he'd won the lottery when I gave it to him.....

I toss in a couple of caps full of water wetter... Purple Something??.... when I flush the coolant just because. It did help reduce the running temp on the '83 a bit... Haven't done the '99 yet, but will when the time comes. Bought the bottle in Ft Collins Co in '07, and it looks like it'll be a lifetime supply.

Strong Gas Smell

I thought that was the case. Thanks for the pics Gary. You saved me a trip out to the garage to make sure what I think I saw, was what I saw.... ..... -

I wish I could, but it an auction scheduled to come up in a couple of weeks.... That may be a problem for me as well. I'll know for sure when I preview it. If it doesn't feel right I may buy it for resale. With gas prices starting climb up toward $5/gal anything that gets good mpg will sell for a premium in a few months...

Nah... Now that a good friend took care of all the electricals..... But it might be fun putzing around town...

Most all GPS's show current speed over ground. I have a marine model that's 25 years old and it shows speed in knots, mph, or kph. As far as top speed, there is no limit... You'll burn up first.....

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like it is an 1100. Cool..... Looks like it'll haul my FA around even better..... I couldn't find it on the Virago board but did locate it here. http://www.thevirago.co.uk/viragotechnical/viragovinbyyear.asp#1993

Didn't realize they made an 1100 in '93. That could be even better yet.... It's only about 4-5 miles away, so when the time comes I'll shuffle on over and find out for sure....

Ya'll know me, and how I can't pass up a good buy. I ran across this auction with a '93 Verago that looks like it's in decent shape. Problem is it doesn't run due to no key. I think it was reposed?? Getting a new key cut and battery is not a problem, and I don't know if it's a 750 or 535?? I'm thinking of using it around town. Now the nitty gritty. I'm a pretty big boy. Will I look like King Faruk sitting on a barstool?? Also what's your thinking on max bid?? http://www.westauction.com/auction/701/item/36836

Amazing stuff. Probably Speed Graphics. A lot of them were set up by a few folks that really knew what they were doing....

Looks like the storm door is finally open in the Pacific. We Westcoasters get hit first, and then it heads north into the midwest. The one you're getting hit with went thru here yesterday. Brace yourself, the one due in here later this afternoon is going to be even stronger....

Setting the carbs

And you're runing in fifth gear to get better millage... Right??. Kick it down into 4th and see what happens. It's a weird phenomena with these motors, they get better MPG with higher RPM's.... Ya can't lug them and expect 40mpg.... -
No frogs around here. Ma nature turned the A/C on, and we're finally getting a little winter. Snow in the Sierras yesterday and a strong cold system headed our direction for the next 2-3 days. I may be able to water the lawn this summer afterall.....

In today’s world of digital photography, I miss the art of taking a good photograph. I miss the expectant wait for the developing process to see if what I think I saw is what I recorded on the film. I miss the rules that have been generated over years of trial and error that hold true today as well as they did 100 years ago, and don’t mean a thing in the electronic world... I guess I just miss the romance of shooting silver film. So I drag out the old Nikon F2, and fire the shutter a half dozen times, get my fix, put it back into it's camera bag, and slip my digital in my shirt pocket…
