  1. I agree!
  2. The bike takes some getting used to in turns. Don't be afraid of scrubbing off some speed just as you enter the turn with the rear brake only. Then roll out using the technique that the others have talked about. As you get used to the bike then you can push the envelope a bit more.
  3. I was able to buy a key ring garage door opener. Pretty handy!
  4. Plus we had a heck of a good party there!
  5. :crackup::crackup:
  6. Happy Birthday Lonna!!! :Happy Birthday:
  7. Hey Jay, hope the surgery is successful and your recovery is quick.
  8. Did you do anything to the bike? I'm serious about the fit issue and have sat on alot of 1800's with the same result.
  9. Every time I sit on an 1800 I realize how cramped the cockpit is. I like the looks of them and all the reports of handling and power but my knees near hit the fairing. I don't think they are made for taller guys.
  10. RoadRunner.
  11. Happy Thanksgiving!
  12. Heal up soon Gary. Hope your downtime goes well.
  13. Mine were broken since the first time I split the fairing. I've just decided to live with it the way it is. Might go ahead and try the permanent fix. Seems that replacing the inner fairing would be a waste of time since it would break again right away.
  14. I hope your right Randy. I'm kinda thinking that there is no way they will find that Gold Honda Civic.
  15. The MP3 feature is pretty handy when your riding through canyons and the signal gets blocked on the XM radio.
  16. I have a set that I use on my '07. I'm very happy with them! The nice thing about them is that they are easy to put on and take off. I've never had cold hands yet while using them and I'll ride into the low 30's. Hope that helps. Bob
  17. Yuck!
  18. Great to hear from you Jay. It still seems strange that you don't ride anymore. I used to tell my friends about a dude named Road Kill that would put down some serious miles on his bike. Hope your surgeries go well and your feeling better soon. See you at Maintenance Day. Bob
  19. My Step-father just made the same decision. It's good to be able to give up biking due to your decision and not from a wreck. Glad your sticking around here!
  20. That's great Al. Good to hear some educational success stories!
  21. Ruthy and I hail from Washington State. I've been a fan of the Seattle Mariners practically since they became a club. It's been pretty rough watching them lately!
  22. I have a Garmin GPS and to be honest, I do not even look at the Venture speedometer anymore. The Garmin tells me how fast I'm going accurately.
