  1. Swifty = strange...... I don't know him enough, to decide....
  2. I think he meant the 5.5, but typed it 5. 5 (possibly to confuse 2nd genners),,,
  3. Judging from the phone#, this place is across the bay from my place & even closer to CAMOS....
  4. Probably, your tail feathers were wagered, again...........
  5. How about NEW ones http://www.siriusconinc.com/pro-detail.php?pid=&product_id=2461 $65.99 for all 4 of them. Remember we still get a discount from them (the last I heard), you may need to E-mail them, for the discount to be applied to the order.
  6. Link insertion tool added a 2nd HTTP, thus the link didn't work until edited.
  7. You also wanted me fix scoots, bring the big trailer behind the truck & cash as well. No truck on this trip, I don't travel like Russ or you..........
  8. Last time I used it, was at the beginning of the month & subscription was just renewed last night. But I turned it on (in tracking mode) for a little bit tonight. Remember the shared page, only shows a maximum history of one week, before it is gone.
  9. Collector is already off & no room to pull the rear pipes out the bottom, thus pulling them out the side.
  10. Next week, Grump & I get on the road again, hitting places we didn't get to or need to see more of from last year. Pakidaho's is a required stop, again this year, as is Cody. Spot Shared Page http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0dW2uviFRmfVBIi65A9vRaQ1osJHe2jOq Link to last years trip thread http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=60094
  11. Grump & I will be there, later next week.
  12. Undo the clamps, move the rear master cylinder reserviour out of the way (outside of the frame) & work it out the right side. May need to shift the master cylinder as well. There is no need to disconnect the lines for the brake fluid.
  13. Russ needs to test it out, to make sure the "guest", doesn't have too saggy of a bed. Roasted Owl, anyone??????????
  14. Sounds good.......... BTW I should be in the area, around there in a few weeks........:thumbsup2:
  15. For the most part, yup. There are a few exeptions, bottom windshield trim, headlight cover, upper vent pickup trim under headlight, windshield to remove 1 console screw (unless you have right angle screwdriver) & false tank cover. Remember, lower left fairing & radiator trim with reflector will need to come off as well.
  16. Your clown outfit is missing, Gary..........
  17. Only improvement was the CD player option, you lost the guages & built in compressor, amongst the other changes. The feet forward postioning, is not for me.
  18. Stator case where the shift linkage passes through. It is intended for a relay point only & not to have a heel / toe shifter directly mounted on the shaft. That is what I remember hearing, about that.
  19. What 2 year waiting list, or is there a waiting list for Vmax 1200 parts???????
  20. Way too slow for a contrail, more likely a slug trail........ Better look for the source of smoke & get it fixed. Better clean up that slime trail too............ Agreed.
  21. Ignored the fuel guage, or is it not working???? No reserve position on the 83, I think that was added in 84. Those valves are very stiff, so many of us leave the valve in the reserve position.......
  22. Stator Kit for Registered & Demo bikes with over 28 miles also gets a new stator (from the first page)...... If this fix is not listed as being done, there is a slim chance of a free stator & cooling kit install (have a printout of the TB on hand, when having the VIN checked for this fix).
  23. For a proper fit, 86 & newer. 83 - 85 will also go on, but passenger portion is narrower & possibly a touch shorter in length.
  24. Fan only kicks in when sitting still, for a while??? If so, improperly calibrated guage & sending unit, in other words it is normal for an 83. I have not seen an 83, where the guage does not read almost red when the fan kicks on.
  25. I think you are looking at the bottom end, of your staked in starter clutch allen bolts, where the heads are on the back side of the rotor.
