No one asked for my thoughts but here they are. If it was me...a 3 year old battery doesnt owe you much anyway. For my own peace of mind and 100 bucks....I think I would just get a new one.

The canopy on my rolla-home is the same way. I use a third pole in the front center and make it tent shaped. This helped some but its not perfect. I was thinking of putting in a gommet in the center of the thing. I am kind of scared ruining it though.

Great news...and now the light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train!

Couple of things ...maybe...the real 1st genners will correct this.....maybe the tci is heating up...some have moved it to on top of the airbox. Or.....sorry to say...it may be the beginning of the end for it. Hopefully there are other ideas out there.

I dont think its the weight so much as the surface area that is causing wind drag. I pull a big camper and my mileage suffers to the same tune as yours does. But this camper is wider than the bike and square so it does catch the wind. I did alot better towing the piggy backer cargo trailer...its wide too but much more streamlined.

Nice Ron.....good to see you are still trying to make that thing as pretty as can be!

I currently run a e3 on the front and an Avon on the rear. I have one more avon rear to use up and then will run e3's both front and rear. We went to Potato Creek this summer with that combo and didnt notice a thing regarding handling. I will never go back to avon's due to the cracking issue we seem prone to up in the cold.

I have had the mk1 and the mk2 1st gen. Out of those bikes the mk1 was the most comfortable and "spry". I now have had two 2nd gens. It is more comfortable for me because of the seating position and foot position. I gave up on the 1st gen because of the foot under thing. Love both models.....sorry all us 2nd genners but I gotta agree that the 1 st gen is more spry and sport bikish than the second gen. But I think its all in the design and position the rider sits.

Buy it south, ship it to a border services if there is one near-by. I just bought 3 of them from Southwestmotors. Cost us 400 bucks after it was all said and done...thats for two fronts, one rear....taxes and exchange rate. -

Thats what I got! sort of 755T not 565t as I last posted. Nice unit, lane assist. The hard thing with a non-motorcycle specific unit is the water proof issue (plastic bag works) and the command buttons and all are small and can be a pain to use. A small stylus from the kids nintendo ds works great for pushing the buttons. I believe you can get a waterproof "cage" to mount with these units.

I bought my GPS (Garmin 565t?) from GPS City in Calgary. I also bought the ram mount from them. Very reasonably priced for a Canadian company. They have the hard power cable as well. Give em a look see.

Good to be home but miss the riding already. We arrived home about 2 hours ago. After the ralley we went to 6 flags north of Chicago. We spent a full day there (12 hours Friday). It was great for the kids and Marilyn. I dont do rides but I enjoyed watching. Headed home Sat. and stopped for lunch with Boo and Jane. Hoteled it later in the day and a good thing as the worst storm we've seen came through that night. We just beat another huge storm tonight by minutes but did get caught in some aweful wind! Thanks to Kevin and Sue for the rally. It was great to see some of the old rascals and meet some new faces. Sorry Russell we bolted right through Mpls and didnt stop this time. It was great to see you on the way down though. (thanks again for lunch!) Take care everyone and thanks again!

Boo Are you going to be at the ralley? If not and maybe even if you are we are thinking of stopping by Hebron on our way back from 6 flags. This would be probably be the 18th/19th. We would be interested in likely a lunch at the best place to eat in town.

Good idea Brad. I will hunt him down. There is not an issue with payments as I have paypal. I just threw out the idea to see what would happen...an maybe dig up someone that had a used one they wanted to get rid of..lol.

There is a Hopnel tank bib for the RSV on ebay. Its "sold" by big bike parts. I need this item but it wouldnt arrive in time before we leave for Potato Creek. Actually there are several available through various sites once I googled them. Is anyone willing to buy the thing for me, take it to Potato Creek and I would pick it up there and hand over the cash. Its around 55 bucks. Thanks

The last time we saw Gary I actually walked right by him...I didnt recognize the man! But he sure looks great. Our thoughts are with you Gary for tomorrows surgery and the healing part. You've done amazing. -
90 Bucks here in town. I have done both our bikes several times now with the carb tune. Paid for itself the first time. Stop laughing Russell......ok I helped Marilyn do it alright...is that what you wanted to hear!

Yeppers, Marilyn has the dual on her bike. She plugs in her sat radio and both listen to tunes and can yak at the old man if they wish.
