  1. Checked out that site... a lot of really nice stuff in there. I love flames but I really want to do pinstriping. Too bad someone didn't have a similar product with as many variations but in pinstripe designs.
  2. Looks GOOD!!! where did you get the decals?
  3. Correction... '07 wasn't it? My '06 Midnight has the studded seat and the '07 Midnight came out with the pollowtop.
  4. NO!!! ya don't say?? ... whoda thunk it? :D

    RSV choke

Choke mine too ... let her fast idle for a minute or so and then push the choke in to about 1/4 and let it warm up some... leave it that way even after I take off at least until the temp has come up to about 1/2. If I don't, it will want to crap out under low rpm load.
  8. yep... and that's exactly why she's riding with LilBeaver ...
  9. 800 mile round trip?? ... is there an overnighter in this scenario? careful Rick... she's after your bod and needs an excuse for her b/f to dump her coz she's too chicken to dump him! :witch_brew:
  10. They must have ex-government MLA's , etc working for them ...
  11. Since we're on the topic of water and rivers, ... Why do they call it the River "bank" and the Lake "shore"? They're both the same in essence.
  12. AWESOME!!! Wish him a safe trip from us.
  13. It wasn't today but yesterday I did my "good deed of the day"... Nina and I were standing just outside of the building where I work, having a smoke before going in (she works a couple blocks away). Here was this young Asian guy driving a beemer (most of them around here do) stopped with a flat tire. He had his spare out and the jack, etc so I'm watching him ... first thing I notice is he's got the jack way too far under the car and can't figure out what to do. So I go over there and ask him if he needs some help... "ahhh soooo yes yes" he says... "turn right?". LOL So I show him where to place the jack and walk back to where Nina is standing. Then I realize he doesn't know to crack the wheel nuts before he gets it up off the ground so I go over and tell him... back to where Nina is (we're talking about 20-30 feet away). So I'm watching him and it's obvious he has no idea how to use the "whimpy" wheel wrench so over I go again and show him the "secret of the foot"... "ahhh sooo ... rank you werry much" he says. As I'm doing that, I realize he has a locking nut so I point that out... he has no idea so we search thru his car and find the kit containing the "key" and I show him how to use that. By that time we needed to head off to work. I wondered for most of the morning how he made out but I figure he got it sorted out now that he had most of all the info he needed to change off that flat tire!
  14. hmmmmmmm... dunno what ya'lls interpretation of "goosed" is but around these parts, that is not a pretty sight no matter which guy is goosing which other guy.... eeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww
  15. good advice coz there's probably many folks who've never used one or even know what they look like for that matter.
  16. depends on your tire size ... seems most are 11/32nds but one is 10/32nds for the rear and 6/32nds for the front. maybe the guy mis-read his gauge. btw, I didn't realize they should have been 11/32 rear and 6/32 front. here's a site with a chart... http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/tirecatalog_tire.asp?id=86
  17. I bought a small tube of "anti-squeal" "goop" (can't recall the name of it) and applied a small film between the metal of the caliper piston and the brake pad back as well as any of the "metal-to-metal" contact points that the pads rest against and slide. Totally got rid of any brake squeal that I was getting, especially on the front.
  18. I guess that kinda shocks some ppl but if you think about it, if they were 32/32nd's new, that is ONE INCH tread depth ... it just doesn't happen on these size tires.... maybe on an earth mover.
  19. I just bought a new rear tire and tread depth is 10/32nd . Got the front one about a month ago ... it was 5/32 nd. Yours sounds about right.
  20. Probably the same as what's in mine.... No matter how greener it looks on the other side of the fence from your "perspective", your side may look just as good from that person's perspective. It's all about perspective.
  21. Same here and while at it, stop in at all those great diners featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives .. speaking of which, I've not once seen them feature a Dive.???
  22. mebbe you should get out those '70's "riser" boots ....
  23. Very interesting...thanks for posting that. One thing that is apparently confusing and one wonders why they did it that way .... if DOT 3 and DOT 4 are non-silicone ... then why would they not make DOT 5 non-silicone and DOT 5.1 silicone. It would surely avoid that confusion of "Use DOT 5 fluid only" on ABS systems (really meaning 5.1) I did read that right, didn't I ?
  24. Good to know and for some maybe good to have. For me ... engine sound is about all I need and the only time I tend to care what gear I am in is when I'm stopped... "did I put it in 1st or is it still in 2nd?" .... then comes the foot with a second and third "insurance" down shift attempt... lol
  25. It would be "neat" to plot such things but it only shows "data" which doesn't portray what a person would feel. Guess I figured that someone might have experimented and would be able to articulate their findings. Now, if we had some CAD results for various settings coupled with personal rider review, that would be the ultimate. hmmmmm.... maybe you'd like to take the job of "guinea pig" and get me off the hook?
