  1. Been there a few times and always had a great time. It is a vacation for bikers a getaway for those who ride. The event is huge and the people are great.Remember its your friends and fellow riders that make the event. You will remember the good times you have not the price of dinner. I suggest you go and see for yourself. Enjoy the atmosphere and remember at least your not at work !!
  2. God bless you and your loved ones. May you find the help and hope you are looking for. Bert:bighug:
  3. Thank you to all who gave me some info on this topic.
  4. Congrats to you. From one brother to another stay safe and enjoy the ride. Bert Buckley ,Toronto Fire 18yrs.
  5. Thanks for your help. I will look at the Elite 3. Do you have an idea of how long they last in miles. Also have you been to the Blue Ridge Parkway if yes can you give any info on this place, I would like to ride it this year. Thanks again. Bert:cool10:
  6. Hi I am replacing my rear tire on my 2001 RSV and would really like to hear some new opinions on what tires to consider. Thank you Bert:confused:
  7. Thank you very much Bob. I will look these people up and go from there.
  8. Thanks for your help I might have to look at getting the strip lights since there is very little room under the tank.
  9. Hi everyone, I have a set of ELECTROPODS led lights and I would like to mount them under the tank. I would like to know if anyone else has used them and where on a second gen. can you mount them to light up the engine. I have the rectangular ones if that makes any difference. Thank you.
  10. Very Good. It only needs to be half a cup now.
  11. Thank you everyone for all the help. I just put on a speed sensor that I got from Pinwall Cyclle Parts ($19.95) and it seems to be working ok. I have not had chance to go for a long ride yet to test the cruise and odo. at least the needle moves up. I am still on the mend from radiation to the Scrotum due to Cancer. Again thank you very much for the help and your brotherhood. Bert (NEWFIE)
  12. Prayers sent. I know what he is going through, I finished my last radiation treatment last Tuesday. Stay strong brother, you can do it.
  13. I split the aux. output behind the fairing and ran the wire up the clutch side handlebar. I use a Ram Mount to hold my MP3 . The mount has interchangable cradles, one for my MP3 and one for my XM radio. I also split the 12volt accessory plug when I had the fairing open and ran a power supply for the XM radio. I also ran a second power supply to the brake side handlebar to supply power for my GPS. I split the 12volt accessory wire with dual 12volt plug in extension thus I was able to use plug in type power supplies for both my XM and GPS. I have not had any problems yet, did it one year ago. Good luck.
  14. I have used earbuds for a long time now ( SKULL CANDY ). I got my adapter from CYCLE GADGETS and I use an older set of JM headsets. The sound quality is great and wind noise is way down. I still use the CB through the headset but I get enjoy the better sound for my XM RADIO. Maybe if I had a better headset I would not need earbud maybe !
  15. Thanks for the info, I will look on ebay and I found the bracket and wiring on this site.
