  1. I'm not so sure MK made that much of a difference; however, swapping out the clutch basket did. On the scale of 1-10, 10 being it's so bad I'm getting rid of the scoot ... mine was at an 8 before the I-basket and now is around a 3 or 4. In other words, it ain't totally gone but I can live with it.
  2. Kinda looks to me like you're tryin to chalk up brownie points ... I betcha want some more safety chrome.... LOL
  3. heh... at least he wasn't reaching for his "fire hose" ...
  4. That guy is a few clues shy of a solution, A Neanderthal brain in a Cro-Magnon body, A vacuum-tube brain in a microchip world, Always loses battles of wits because he's unarmed....
  5. ... I think I seen that on AFV (America's Funniest Home Videos) ... so what'd ya do with the $100k winnings??

    robin

Robins have been around here for a few weeks now but only in the last week have they really begun to start chirping a lot. SPRING is HERE!!! .... now if it would only stop raining for a few days and the temps would get back up to normal ... well, at least they're almost there. Yesterday and today are quite a bit milder than previous days. 'nuther way I know that Spring is here.... I always get a friggin cold sore
  7. ya, I saw/read all that in my searches. no problemo my friend ... to each their own. I use the motorkote occasionally but that is not to say I am a firm believer in the product. Since I only have 32,000 kilometers on my scoot, I have no issues with the clutch....yet. But if it starts slipping too soon, I'll surely be taking a close look at it for signs of burning or otherwise and upgrading to a heavier spring, etc.
  8. Well... HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your daughter!!! hey wait a minute .... aren't you a little OLD to have a 16 yr old daughter???
  9. DITTO all of the above ...
  10. link doesn't work
  11. OK, so I did a search for all posts by me referencing motorkote ... I found nothing that suggests I am a "keen believer" ... in fact, I didn't see anything that I specifically attributed any improvements to anything to the motorkote itself. I also did a search for all posts by YOU referencing motorkote ... hmmmmm... didn't see anything in any of the above posts where I had opinions on your opinions of the product... maybe you got me mixed up with someone else ...????
  12. dang.... my memory must REALLY be FADING .... OK... settled!
  13. hmmmmmmm... I'll take another look ... I could be mistaken .... I was once before...
  14. Could you provide some clarification of the problems you've experienced to back up your recommendation ... it would be helpful to know. Thanks.
  15. The first pic is not big enuf to get a good "view" of what you did on the dash, etc... could you post some closeups?? Based on my above comment, I'm surprised you can see that well enuf to make such a comment. From what I can see, it doesn't look any different than mine and it's been that way since new.
  16. Motorkote is the absolute BESTEST!!! ... Lucas products suck!
  17. Really??? That's odd coz almost every truck driver around here has a beard and a towel wrapped around his head... LOL
  18. Come to Vancouver (aka Hongcouver) ... you'll feel like you're in another country (like China maybe). Every day I ride public trasit to and from work ... don't hear much english being spoken amongs the other passengers but there's sure a lot of other languages. Fortunately tho, there's only a very small segment where there's no english spoken or understood.
  19. This is a very good point (and "tip"). I read elsewhere in the site someone mentioned this. I've been mulling over installing HID and I'm glad this has been brought up.
  20. for some folks, "play toy" is aka "mistress" ....
  21. I couldn't see anything that was 24 watt ...??
  22. Ya, I noticed that and I believe I mentioned it... didn't I? And I've listened to a few others that are noisier too. It puzzles me as to why such a "rock solid" engine, designed the way it is, has more internals noise than most any current V-twin out there today, not to mention Wings and Beemers. I've said this before ... my son's '03 1200 Sportster engine is amazingly quiet. Go figgure eh?
  23. 48 was about as warm as it got yesterday. When we left at 10AM it was 39 .... a nice, very cool day of riding to say the least but the PMS treatment was worth it.
  24. OK now... I've looked everywhere and I don't see no gol dang rake nowhere ... I got ripped off!!!
  25. Time for me to "fess up" .... I think I was having a "female moment" when I connected the wires. Instructions said to connect the green wire to the blue wire and the blue wire to the yellow wire ... so I said to my self... "self, blue should go together"... and that's what I did. Apparently the LED wiring connectors must have some sort of diode or something inside the joint where the blue and green connect to red that determines which circuit is run and which is brake and this is probably why Chris' lights aren't working right. Well, like any good backyard mechanic should, I guarantee my workmanship ... we'll swap the wires next weekend so things will work as they should. Lesson learned.... After reading the instructions 5 times... one should follow them...
