  1. WOW Jeff you're old.........
  2. I hope there is an easy answer to an easy question. What is the normal water temp of an RSV? At what temp should the fan come on? Thanks all:bowdown: KB
  3. Well I finally got my tire change complete. The K&L valve stems were junk, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! They cost about $15.00 a piece. They are cheap pot aluminum. The first one broke off in the threads while putting the nut on it. And in case anyone is wondering the valve stem holes in the rims are in fact 10MM so make a mental note of that, in case you ever want to but valve stems that are actually sized.
  4. I have HK's on my and love them. I did some research and found that a matched set were different inside. There are different part numbers but. nonetheless they are a set. I wouldn't change a thing about them. So just bolt them on and enjoy the ride.
  5. incredible story. :clap2:
  6. I rather like it like it is. It is easy to navigate and finding new items is easy if you are really shopping and watching the ads. So my vote is leave it alone.

    Will it fit?

I have a 6x12 and it isn't wide enough for my Road Star and Venture at the same time.
  8. All I can do is bring me so I'll be there. I'll try and fluff up so I will look like more people.
  9. The back roads I travel wouldn't have any hooters on them unless I can tackle a big breasted owl or two. Good luck to all others.

    Sorry

So Thom does this mean that you will bring your traveling light show to Cody so we can make our scoots shine at night too????????
  11. So most of us are saying we would trust our steeds to make it 3,000 miles. Well here is your chance to put your scooters where your fingers are. There is a little cross country ride from LA (Rancho Cucamunga) to Washington DC the trip kicks off the middle of May (May 18 to be exact) and ends just 10 short riding days later in DC. Well..... I'll be there again this year and since all the good riders of VentureRider.Org would trust their mounts for that ride I'll expect to see alot more Ventures on this years Run For The Wall. Then it's off to Oberlin for an oil change. Well who's in and who's out?????????????
  12. Where did you mount both of your streble horns?
  13. Has anyone been able to put some kind of adapter on the front forks so that both sides can be filled from one point? I found a link here some time ago but the adapter kit was no longer available so I've decided to try and do something myslef but thought I'd come to the experts first. Thanks KB
  14. My tank badges are long gone. If I had them they would be yours. :080402gudl_prv:
  15. I found anotgher thread from Nanci and I will email her directly. :cool10:
  16. I click on the link or I enter acehighleathers.com and I get some bimbo wearing a backpack and I can't get any further. Can someone help me?????
  17. I've ridden on a few of them there is some beautiful riding here in our great land. I did notice one thing though, none of the roads started with I or Interstate. I'll do Beartooth pass again during or after the Cody Ralley this summer.
  18. Mine did.............. I carry my two legged pet in the back seat.
  19. We had 4 inches of snow here on Monday today is nice nice nice riding weather. It's about time to try and find that waterfall I've been looking for.
  20. Yeah I thought about that tape player long and hard. Then I realized that I didn't have any tape to use in it so it was gone as fast as my hard earned money at tax time.:mo money: This is the government throwing my hard earned money away. I think it's about time Obama gave me a bail out. After all I am a nice guy and could use a little more money. But that's another thread.
  21. Here is a quick drawing of how I wired the cruise button. The cruise switch in inside the fairing. I couldn't see any reason to put drill a hole and mount it. It is always on so I just push the button and the cruise is activated. It will remain on until I turn the key off. You probably wouldn't have to use the switch if you wanted to just put the Brown/red and red/blue wires combined with whatever wire you were using to relocate your cruise activation button. The third wire yellow/black just attaches to whatever wire you are using to return the signal from the push button back to the cruise circuit in the fairing. I hope this makes sense.
  22. I put Ponch gauges in my 03 and like it so much but something was missing......some sort of electric monitor. I chose a Kury volt meter and put it in the space where the Cruise switch was. I mountedthe Cruise in the top of the gas tank cover (see pic). So let me know what you think. Thanks Kent
  23. I've heard you shouldn't use any additive in any motor. Becausse it is heavier and thicker and will eventually clog the filter. I'd rather have a good difinitive discussion on the best motor oil.:stirthepot:
  24. So what we are all saying is put an emergency by pass switch and wire the passing and headlight through a relay. Both great ideas and I will certainly do both. I would mount the by pass switch on the left underside of the fairing so when the bars are locked to the left it would be almost impossible to see the switch much less get to the switch. I would also run this switch through a relay so as to keep it cool. Now I'll just have to do some thinking and planning and make it happen.
  25. My small around town grocery gitter is a 2004, 102cid, Road Star. I bought it before I bought my RSV. The torque of the huge V twin is so much fun around town and it sounds great with VH power shot exhaust. The Venture is for my wife to hang on the back of and go to far away places.
