Terrain also plays into your range, the transmitters on these units only put out about 4 watts and as mentioned before antennas play into this quite a bit. I would suggest checking your VSWR to make sure your antennas are good and in tune. 3-5 miles is probally a good max range any further than that would be unusual. I have Firesticks on one of my Ventures and get a little more range than stock. -

The only time I have ever had wobble is with a loose steering head bearing when I break really hard. I have two 99's and I love both of them.

Georgia did the same thing down here during bike week, don't understand why they feel the need to single out bikes.

Sorry you had to drop it, however at least you were in a controlled situation and I am sure you learned something from it. The last MSF course I took the Ultra in front of me dropped in the U-Turn and I followed suit immediately but know I can do a U turn in a single lane.

Ken, If you do not belive you can make the adapter cord send me your mic and remburse me for the parts and I will build it for you but please do not do the workaround for the reasons stated by outkast.

The cord is home built, J&M use to sell them but I don't think they do anymore.
