Leaking Radiator or Roadkill
etcswjoe replied to etcswjoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I need to go ahead and buy a new grill, I had one and the bottom cracked so I need to get off my behind and order a new one. I have used the black pepper trick numerous times, I had a 47 Chevy that it seemed like every radiator I put in it leaked and pepper always got me home. -
Getting ready to head out to Greensboro this morning and noticed a discoloration on my radiator nothing wet on the floor and the radiator did not feel wet, however I did not want to get 5 hours away and it fail. I rode around the local area for a couple hours still looks the same but no visible leak. So did I just hit big bug or do I have a very slow leak?

My daughter and I are heading out the door to look for a 50's vehicle. Shame the one we have is in a garage is 340 miles away.

That is a long trip two up. Glad you had fun, one of these days I would love to just take off and ride till I got tired of it.

What better place to get married than in Oberlin Oh during Maintenance day. Has there been a MD wedding before?

How did you get here to color coordinate with your bike? So what's the next target?

I can't see the pic...

I hate them too, today coming home a big Homeland Security SUV pulled right out in front of me after making eye contact and I was in a fairly deep lean at 25 mph (due to the traffic circle). It was shaking for a second and the idiot never even paused. I could have used some of Boomer's Pygmies.
-
Glad you are ok and no one was badly hurt. I am sure the pygmies are thankfull too.

I went ahead and removed us too, I was about 90% sure we could go but there is a slim possibility I may have to fly to MS to oversee some testing and did not want to leave you hanging if we could not.

Ok, after this I say no more targets that would involve school. What do you think? These seem to be hard ones to get.

The southern cruisers here use CH 11, but every Venture rider I have ridden with uses 29.

There was a car about 5 car lengths in front of me so he really did not gain anything by passing me.

Sorry I was backwards, which seems par for the course for me tonight

Our prayers go out to you, the young girl and her family. -
That was what surprised me I was using the whole lane, I looked in my mirror and the guy was right on my behind and next thing I knew he was two inches away and still coming so I rode the yellow line to keep from getting crunched as he went around. maybe I just need to take a diffrent route to work

Interesting ride in the last two days, part of my ride to work takes me down a fairly busy two lane raod. Well yesterday a lady in a Dodge Nitro decided she wanted to pass me on the right because she could not pass on the left due to oncoming traffic she did not succed but about ran me over when the road went to four lane. You would think this would be a uncommon occurence think again a guy in a pickup truck was tailgating me halfway up the road this morning then decideds he is coming around thankfully I was able to squeeze over enough for him not to hit me or go into oncoming traffic. I stopped behind him at the traffic light and took a picture of his license plate and the big Faternal Order of Police Bumper stick, don't have aclue what I was planning on doing with the picture but it shook him up some. Just needed to vent Thanks

It's close enough now I think you should be able to get it in the next couple of days.

The amplirider is already set up for 12 volts were as the boostaroo uses batteries so unless you want to keep changing out batteries you have to adapt it to 12 volts from 1.5 volts.
