If you were sitting on the bike when you measured it you will get a higher reading also, don't know if it would be as high as yours. -
The Musem of Industry and Science in Chicago has a great train layout, I too enjoyed the one in Chatanooga (sp). The South Carolina Train Musem opens up Saturday I may ride up there and check it out. I rember as a little boy going to Tweetsie railroad in Blowing Rock NC.

It's a personal preference thing, put a few pounds in them and if it is too hard of a ride you can adjust down. -
You your bike in front of a train, extra points if it has a caboose. Good Hunting

Leaking Radiator or Roadkill
etcswjoe replied to etcswjoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I guess I did not want to look silly by bringing in a radiator that was not leaking into the shop, however that is who I was thinking about pressure testing it. -
If I am real quick I may just be able to get out of here before they get back.

Both My wife and I being Veterans both greatly appreciate the sentiment. We always feel humbled because we both returned safe and sound when many of our shipmates and friends did not. Please remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice not only this weekend but all year. -
I took four gauges and two agreed so I went with those two. May not be that accurate but made me feel better.

Leaking Radiator or Roadkill
etcswjoe replied to etcswjoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Put a few more hours on it no visible leaks. May go ahead and pressure test it anyway. -
I think it is a 52 or 53 the grill and the windows have been modified so it was hard to tell. The truck was at the Harley Dealer in Myrtle Beach.

Leaking Radiator or Roadkill
etcswjoe replied to etcswjoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I need to go ahead and buy a new grill, I had one and the bottom cracked so I need to get off my behind and order a new one. I have used the black pepper trick numerous times, I had a 47 Chevy that it seemed like every radiator I put in it leaked and pepper always got me home. -
Getting ready to head out to Greensboro this morning and noticed a discoloration on my radiator nothing wet on the floor and the radiator did not feel wet, however I did not want to get 5 hours away and it fail. I rode around the local area for a couple hours still looks the same but no visible leak. So did I just hit big bug or do I have a very slow leak?
