  3. Most of the things you'll see on those sites are Busted so I'm told :rotf:
  4. TURPENTINE VS. HOLY WATER A little boy was sitting on the footpath with a bottle of turpentine. He was shaking it up and watching all the bubbles. A priest came along and asked the little boy what he had. The little boy said, 'This is the most powerful liquid in the world; it's called turpentine.' The priest said, 'No, the most powerful liquid in the world is Holy Water. If you rub it on a pregnant woman's belly, she'll pass a healthy baby.' The little boy replied, 'If you rub turpentine on a cat's butt, he'll pass a Harley Davidson
  5. except he wants to lift the front. Now this is an Idea he could work with. Just be sure to secure the chock to the lift. If you can position it so you can secure it from each side to prevent a tip over, all the better. 800+ pounds falling on you might hurt a little
  6. I was going to suggest that but there really isn't a good spot to lift from. The handlebars are not strong enough and the top tree is covered by the fairing.
  7. Gently lay it over on the lawn with a blanket under it. You may want to remove the gas tank first.
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-YAMAHA-VENTURE-XVZ1300-R-S-ENGINE-GAURD-/270898378492?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3f12cd36fc#ht_499wt_1412 better hurry only 30 minutes left.
  9. Carbon One and I are waiting on Skydoc's kit to arrive (it's in the mail) and were gonna be doing the valves next week.
  10. Don't worry, the nightmares won't last too long!
  11. Now that sure would help in rush hour traffic or for that unruly cager
  12. A dirty 2nd gen will always look better than a sparkling 1st gen
  13. My neighbor is a Bosch engineer who knows theses systems well. I'll print your question and hand it off to him. I'll post his answer here. You will probably need to reprogram the ECM to take advantage of the increased fuel delivery.
  14. Nice RG SELL ME SOME OF YOUR RSV CHROME BEFORE YOU LET IT GO I gotta dress up mama's 08 RSV trike and am going crazy trying to find bling for it.
  15. Michigan also has crossbows in use for the full archery season. With my bad shoulder I could never bow hunt till they legalized crossbows. You still have to put in your time in the woods to succeed in taking a deer, it just give you one more tool to do it. Firearm hunting from a tree was also made legal, it makes me feel much safer in the woods. Accidental firearm injuries have gone down, but, there are now more people getting hurt or worse from falling from trees. You gotta wear that safety harness.
  16. The corp. he works for designs, builds & installs dyno's and environmental testing chambers for the automotive industry.
  17. Put it on e bay and use the proceeds to get your bike dyno tuned. Far less aggravation and expense. Just building the rollers and controls will cost you a bundle, but, if you really want to make it work, my neighbor is a dyno engineer and could probably offer technical advice.
  18. If you are planning to be back in Michigan with a truck, I'll hook ya up. I have about 30- 4' 4 lite T-8 120v fixtures piled up behind the garage.
  19. It's a mineral in the water that causes it, I just can't remember which one.
  20. We just picked up an 08 RSV Hannigan and we both love the way it rides and handles. I have not ridden one with a Voyager kit so I can't give you an objective comparison between the two. I can say you won't be disappointed if you do choose a Hannigan. Be sure to add an easy steer kit and Aux. fuel tank if you do. With a Voyager you won't get the added storage area, i'd say it's like adding at least a 3rd hardbag of capacity.
  21. Never heard of it before now. I'll give it a trial run.
  22. I remove the anode rod whenever I have installed a new heater (GAS) , they always make our water smell like sulfur, something about our well water that causes the smell. Even without the anode we always get at least 15 years of service from them, with once a year flushing. Our water softener guy does not recommend a whole house filter before the water softener unless you are going to change out the filter element every 90 day's. He say's restricted water pressure does not let the softener work correctly. If your well point is good you should not be getting debris large enough to cause problems.
  23. Now I understand why most VR Riders pull a trailer.... y'all need to bring the life support systems with ya.
  24. [quote You are going to like the Hylomar. It is great stuff! I convinced, I'll be adding this to my sealants box. Will it still apply well at sub-freezing temps ?
