get as much chrome off and then use rust convertor. it should at least stop the rust. then you could put a silver por-15 in that area. works pretty well on my resto cars. I use the spray type, or just use a chrome color paint I guess. http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-rust-converter.html?srccode=ga110070&gclid=CLmJ1PXFvLACFQK5KgodGSMxrg There is also a great little chrome shop near (EUSA1) Mike Kemp. in IL. that would be able to re-chrome that for you. good luck Jeff

Passenger foot pegs
Cougar replied to farm1810's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Not like she wants I am betting.. but depends on how far she needs her leg outwords then they might be fine ,I showed those to my wife a few years back and she said nope. the photo's should be posted on the DiamondR Site. This is why I had to go my route. Jeff -
Your left side WILL get the most dings. Do it now if your going to do it. as you will have a rock ding by the end of the week , I just gave up and its been 3 years now. think I have about 10 rock dings now figure one day I will just fix them all at the body shop the problem I had with the film is the way our fenders are formed. Passenger foot pegs
Cougar replied to farm1810's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
DimoandR has some, I made it so my wife could get her leg or legs straight out. with a set of reg front foot pegs. she has one bad knee so after riding a while she has to stretch it out some. BUT my set-up can only be used if your bike is triked. -

My up-date , since I have changed out my stator and mossfet r/r a couple months ago, my charging is at 14.4 all the time now. and no more problems. and it will still charge at that rate with all my stuff on as well. very happy with my new install. Jeff
