  1. those are my custom LED driving/fog lights. 6 watts of light and as bright as the 35watt halogens Where did you get those lights? A link maybe? Thanks, Steve
  2. IPB, What I had suggested was cutting the TAPERED ROLL PIN. And you can be very sure I DID NOT trash my bags, in fact doing what I did, no-one would ever know. I did this in a very precise manor. You might want to reread my post. Steve
  3. WOW, George, that is very interesting. I did google it and lots there to read. Nice having my eyes opened. And very nice to meet you up at PIP last year. You gonna be there this year too? Steve
  4. Ponch, I'm very sorry to hear that you lost your dad. The best to you. Steve
  5. Colemann Holligan 3 This is the best tent that I have used to date. Big enough for all of your stuff, pluss sleeping space, and a BIG/FULL rainfly. The vestibule is very handy for boots, etc. Steve http://www.coleman.com/coleman/ColemanCom/detail.asp?CategoryID=11070&product_id=2000001590
  6. Very nice job. I've always wanted a tach on my RSTD. With your laddle as the mount, it appears that it is resting on the housing. Did you use silicon so it won't scratch the housing? Do you get much vibration? Is a 2 1/2" guage available? Steve
  7. I think that you need to contact Rick and tell him of your butt pain. (again) No doubt he would work with you and get you a comforbable seat. Just because he did it once doesn't mean that he wouldn't rework it. Good luck, Steve
  8. Hey OddStar, Before you hit that deer, that was one sweet looking bike. I'm sure that you'll find the pieces and put her back together again. I used one of those dent guys this spring on my car. Amazing what they can do. It was nice that you and your wife could join us at the winery. Ya gotta stop that deer hunting, with the bike of course. Steve
  9. My daughter was like that when she was 11-12 years old. What a great time. Steve

If this thread ended now, you would know what pretty much everyone uses. I've used both. Steve
  11. AMA has a good site that lists all states motorcycle requirements. http://amadirectlink.com/legisltn/laws.asp Steve
  12. Lowell, Good luck on your move. Can't imagine moving all the pack rat stuff like you say though. Steve
  13. How well would they work under a full face helmet? Steve
  14. Thanks for the tip. I'll look for some. The ones I have been using are lacking in sound quality. Steve
  15. I have the same Nexen tire mounted and have a hard time believing that it blew at 80psi. What does it mean that it opened up the bead and the sidewall ? As far a one of the guys being responsible? Not a chance. In fact, I'd say that your'e lucky to find someone to even mount a car tire on a motorcycle rim. BTW, I mounted my own. Good luck on your next adventure. Steve
  16. Hi Annie, Glad you got er done. I do have one suggestion before you balance the wheel/tire. With very little air in the tire, bounce it up and down while rotating the tire. It will help in making sure the tire is seated well. Steve
  17. That was some good thinking. And a beauty of a bike. I don't think I've seen that color combo before. black/silver? VERY sharp! Steve
  18. Now that was cool to watch. Thanks, Steve
  19. Sharp That chrome really stands out and sets it off. Steve
  20. the only reason i can see they put a truck tire on the front of the royalstar is to give a little slower steering in the straight line I just had to quote Snarley Bill, it's the best description of the stock front tire that I've heard. I've had a 130 on the front of my 05 RSTD for two years now and it feels much lighter and more agile to me. Steve
  21. I am glad to see that you are up and around and looking for another venture so soon. After you get some ballpark figures, go to cycletrader.com. There are NEW 2010's, 2009's, 2008's and even 2007's for sale all over the country. Have fun shopping, Steve
  22. when I pick up the Millenium RSV I've bought. Hey Randy, Nice, but you know the rules, PicturesIn Wisconsin this year in order for an insurance company to sell liability, they, by law must add under-insured and uninsured at 100/300, which added $171 per bike. Iv'e checked with two different companies and they both said the same thing. But as far as a multi bike discount, Mine and one other both offer it, but it's not worth talking about. Steve
  23. Ben, I'm amazed and relieved to see you post now. (thanks sis) and I'm very sorry to hear of all that you, your family and friends had to go through. But I hope you all heal quickly and completely. And get some new rides under you. You are all in my thoughts. Steve
  24. My thoughts and best wishes go out to the whole family. Steve
  25. I'd be interested, but not for a couple of years. My DB WWW, Nexen, 165-80-15 has got a lot of miles to go. But thanks for checking this out for us. I'll keep this in mind for the future. Steve
