Footwear and Motorcycles, to flip flop or not
Solodadof2 replied to friesman's topic in Watering Hole
Many different perspectives on this topic, I must agree with Rick that there are many daily activities that we do that can cause injury or worse. I wear Still Toe engineer boots, Diamond Gussett riding Jeans, a minimum of a Shorty helmet on every ride, I also have full leathers or cortech but have to confess that I do not wear them as frequent as I probably should. I know that Statistically here in Illinois Last year there we 108 motorcycle fatalities and that 80% were not wearing helmets. That being said there is no way to determine if the helmet would have changed the outcome. However we are judged by these statistics from Insurance companies both vehicle and medical based on these statistics. I say to each there own on Riding apparel, to each there own on what tires you buy, and to each there own on what oil you use. One thing that sends me over the edge is small children being ridden on a motorcycle with limited protection, no backrest, unable to touch pegs. I have seen this so many times and it makes me furious that there are limited laws to protect children from Parental stupidity in regards to motorcycles. -
Good Luck Waterbug This is a never ending battle, The courts still favor the mother alot. I have 50% visitation and Custody, which appears to work well for our son. However relentlessly every 2 years the Ex takes me back to court cost me and her about $1500 a piece. The end result is no change. It can get very frustrating Especially when an uniformed step parent gets involved. Best of luck to you and most of All may the courts do what is best for the children!

What year is it? if you still have warranty take it to the dealer. If not get another venture over there and compare the 2 to see what might be going on and go from there. By the way what kind of Stuff did this nieghbor kid Stuff in your trunk? How did this 7 year old stuff Stuffing Kid Muscle the lid closed after he stuffed all that stuff in there? Was his last name Kent? My guess this 7 year old stuff stuffing kid who muscled your lid shut with all that stuff in there has bent your hinge assembly. Good Luck!

I had a close friend that heated with a corn stove and it did a great job, He made an agreement with a local farmer to drive his field after harvest and collect the leftover corn, he traditionally has been able to get enough corn this way to heat all winter with no expense.

Harley Davidson Recently announced a joint effort with Lexus to develope a VROD trike. The manufacturing process is said to be unconventional and the first time anything like this has been attempted. P.S. This happened about a year ago near work, no one was injured believe it or not.

Personally I have bought quite a few items out of the classifieds and have advertised and sold some items. I too believe that you should have limited access to the site if you are a trial member such as being able to access the classifieds for purpose of purchasing but cannot place an add till you are a fulltime member. It is much cheaper to pay $12 a year than to sell on Ebay! and you do not have to deal with the spam you get on craigslist, and finally you can be rest assured you are going to have a fairly safe transaction. Maybe you could set up a way to charge trial members or non-members ,this would possibly encourage them to join. disclaimer: No animals were injured while forming this opinion, please do not try this at home without adult supervision.

ALright my friend I understand you want what you wants, but being on 2 wheels is more important than the 2 wheels your on. Post some pictures of your ride. I do not have a Venture, But I do have a Kawasaki Voyager that I would be happy to work a deal with you on. This bike would be a great 2 up bike till you get back on you feet and can get what you really want.

I have not been around long but was hoping that someone could share the story about the relationship between Venture Rider and St. Jude. This group is so wonderful and the things they do for the kids and their families is truly amazing. where Else are you going to go in the world and get this kind of Care and not be expected to pay a dime for it St. jude is truly an amazing organization. Thanks to those that head this effort up every little bit helps.

Squidley I ship around 5 bikes a year and am well versed on USHIP and Federal. I was thinking if one of the members on here, was coming from that direction headed towards Tennessee then why not throw the money their way if they oculd hall it. I know times are tough so if I can throw the money a members direction great if not i can use the usual suspects.
-
Do my eyes decieve me or did they put the 1100's and the RSTD back in the line up?

Solodadof2 replied to KiteSquid's topic in Watering Hole
Glad you are okay, I Know a member who totalled his bike and was able to remove all accessories installed. Ram Mounts, chrome, aftermarket seats, ETC. You may also conider a buyback in which case you could part the bike out or rebuild it if it is not bad.
