  1. I will be there this Saturday through next Friday, looking forward to doing some riding in Wisconsin to earn my wisconsin patch. I am the president of the central Illinois river cities chapter. The only cost to anyone is if they are gonna particpate in the Star Functions like rides and things of that nature. the reason being is insurance cost and meal cost.
  2. So this is somewhat funny the RSTD Folks are buying FLanders Bars, The RSV folks like the RSTD Bars, and the Vstar 1100 Classic folks like the RSV Bars. Maybe someone should call ma yamaha!
  3. I have a set of RSTD Bars and End weights and have offered them to a couple different people for$125 which included shipping. I really thought this was a fair price as the bar end weights cost $144 and the dealer quoted me $129 for the bars, not to mention shipping. If this is way off base please pm if not and you want them pm me.
  4. is must be yo lucky day butwheat! email me norr3mi@aol.com .
  5. I have a brand new set norr3mi@aol.com if your interested make me a fair offer!
  6. I think it is because of the phenomenol Job Yamaha has done with upgrading the venture. Who would want to keep a Harley that has been completely revamped when you can buy a brand new 10 year old venture for $19,000.
  7. contact Shawn Baker at www.touringcycleaccessories.com has some NOS for the st gen venture. Great Prices too. Website can be a little hard to manuever through so if you cannot find it call him.
  8. I have ridden both and each has it's own perks, Venture is proven technology but a 99 is the same as a 2011, Venture has more options than Voyager standard and if you are less than 5 years old you have warranty. if you were ever to do 2 up riding You would want to go with the venture. The voyager is just not comfortable for average size 2 up riders. The voyage was definetly better balanced than the venture, obviously with a fuel injected 1700 cc you are coming into modern technology. it handled well in the corners and had great get up and go. However I always felt I was in the wrong gear(but am not used to riding a vtwin). both have great owners groups and forums. Good luck either way you will be happy with you choice.
  9. May the good lord bless you and sustain you with wonderful memories. 91 wow I hope that I can live that long and ride everyday.
  10. Did she pull over to take the picture or was she doing it while driving?

  12. Quite a character that Festus. Imagine that great actor, tv series that spanned several generations, Not one story of drugs, divorce, rapes, gang shooting, bopping the babysitter, Now if that does not make you one of the greats in Hollywood what does. Miss Kitty in her hay day yee haw no wonder marshall dillion stopped in at miss kitty's place
  13. I think the important thing here is not to celebrate the loss of Bin Laden to the world, but to honor those that have lost there lives in 9-11 and since then trying to get to today. As a vet I am happy for our victory, but extremely saddened by our losses.
  14. Sierra electronics IMC headsets. good quality,2 year warranty, great folks to work with. $65 or $75 cannot remember.
  15. I have roadhouse slip ons they got a good rumble to them, I just did not like the sewing machine sound of the oem pipes.
  16. I did not like the bridgestone for the same reasons already stated: 1). early wear out just over 6,000 miles 2). Tire Noise 3). I have problems on the tour deluxe with is slipping out on even the slightest gravel on a take off. As for the E-3 the negative comments are very few and I am on several forums as many are. I wanted to try the michelin commander but they are no longer available as they are tooling up for the next generation or so I have heard.
  17. did you ever leave?
  18. Think of it this way something goes bad you dont just lose one bike you lost both. not a good idea but to each their own.
  19. I have a black Bushtec Roadstar with Cooler Package I would sell for 2500 obo.
  20. J&M Handlebar Cb is a great alternative most of the folks that I ride with that have cruisers use them. I got a used one if your interest could save you a few bucks.
  21. Where can a morgan Carbtune be purchased? thanks!
  22. You can pretty much expect around $600 average anywhere in the country. that is going to be one way. I have used federal and every once in awhile they will do a small bike special where they rate everything as a small bike, it also helps to tell them you are an ama member. The person I suggested I have used several times and have been very happy with her. Uship has some good shippers on it. Most of your shippers use motorcycles as a filler to help with Fuel Cost. As they can be put in the back of a truck or do not take up much space in a trailer. Good Luck!
