    Well I drive 55 miles each way. So at 110 miles round trip at 16 mpg that comes out to 6.875 gallons of premium at $3.65 per gallon = $25 per day x 6 days = $150 per week x 4 = $600 per month plus extra driving. I go through about $700 a month on average. My wife goes through about $70 a week.

    Speed through the Dragon is not a concern. I would not dream of trying to run a touring bike as fast as I can through there. Someone wants around me, they can pass. I am good with 30 mph or less.

    I was planning on finding something about 50 miles away or so. No need to stay right there. I figure, get to the motel Friday late faternoon. Ride the surrounding areas, Get up early Saturday morning, ride the dragon then maybe some of the other sites, start to head back later that evening and just pull off for the night. Ride the rest of the way home Sunday. Not spending the entire time at the Dragon. Just want to ride it once. Plan on seeing the other sites that are available.

    I have never been there. I am planning on maybe a mid to late June weekend trip down. Leave early Friday morning, ride the Tail a few times on Saturday and some of the surrounding scenic roads. Then head back to Michigan early Sunday morning. Any interest in a group thing? If so, I could look for some rooms to book. Let me know your thoughts. Randy

    Still have storage insurance on mine. I did take it up the street a few times to let the new mufflers bark a little bit and let the neighbors know what they are in for at 4:45 am when I leave for work this riding season......Mufflers are Samson 29" Turn outs.....alot louder than the Harley pipes I had on there.

    Of course our registrations maybe going up. Legislators want to raise the cost of plates to pay for our crappy roads.

Me.....I am just jealous that I am not smart enough to come up with something like these two did to make me billions. Do I fault them, no. Jobs was just as big of an a$$ as Zuckerburger. I am sure we could find all kinds of dirt on both. Who cares? I do not like Apple products, so I do not purchase them. If you do not like Facebook. Stay off. This is AMERICA LAND OF THE FREE!! Don't beez hatin' the playas, hates the game.

    Well I can vouch for the quality. He made mine. Actually he used mine for the fixturing. Did a 4000 mile round trip last August pulling my trailer. They are awesome. Barely noticable. Well worth the asking price. Randy

    Those risers won't work. I bought a set and when installed, the handlebar caps hit the ignition cover to the point that it deforms it at full steering lock. I returned them, got a full refund. The seller was supposed to check out the design and possibly make a change.

    I gotta tell ya, if I was in the market for a new Touring bike, that Kawasaki would be in my garage. No if's, and's or but's. What is Yamaha thinking? Or is that the problem......they're not.

    Would it not be easier to buy a trunk from ebay for a Venture? I would assume they would bolt right up with the Venture mounts. There are plenty on there. As far as spray can...... take it to a body shop and pay the extra money if you cannot spray it yourself. If you use a spray can, it's probably going to look like it came from a can and not look very good.

    Sounds like a good deal to me. Personally, I think Craftsman power tools have gone down in quality ever since they were bought by Kmart. If your just using it as a general purpose/hobby drill press, go with the Harbour Freight.
