  1. I live in Coweta county (as does Lewis), it is about 5 miles for me to I85, total trip to work (near the airport) is about 25 miles, and it takes us less than 30 minutes to get there. I second the feelings about Union City not being the place to live, as a matter of fact, I probably start looking south of Palmetto. Peachtree City is a nice place, but can be frustrating to find anything because of their sign ordinances and traffic there is really bad. It is a long haul on some fairly jammed roads to get to the Union City area. Fayetteville will have some four lane roads that run across to Union City, but are usually kind of busy. You also need to watch where you live in Fayetteville. Newnan has some nice places to live and a fairly easy commute to the UC area, either by I85 or route 29. Not a lot of nightlife there though. Virginia Highlands/Decatur is a fairly nice place for folks who enjoy the nightlife scene, but the commute would be terrible. My 2 cents.
  2. I have been happy with everything I have bought from them, but haven't bought any helmets there.
  3. Awesome photos. Did you rent a bike there? We would like to go over and travel that area.
  4. Thank you, that was great to watch.
  5. You gotta have long arms to reach all the way from Texas to Georgia, but you did it. Thanks for all your help. I was going to take it out on the road today, but got called into work before I could hitch it up.
  6. The part numbers for national are 30205 for the bearings and 223255 for the seal.
  7. I was met Swifty at the last Vogel. The doc says the therapy is doing wonders and I should be nearly sane in a month or two
  8. It would be great to see you when you get back.
  9. Glad you two got out today. We went out to the Peachtree 10K to support some friends. Was a beautiful day with great weather in Atlanta area today.
  10. Mini, we are in. If at all possible when talking with your cousin, please ask if there is anyway we can donate sky miles too. That might help some if it were possible.
  11. Clan Chattan?
  12. Ask them about a blue tooth device for your hearing aids. Talking on a cell phone with them is pretty dicey, even if you do have a phone certified for hearing aids. The VA hooked me up with one and it works great. I always wear my hearing aids when I ride and have never had an issue with them. I wear a 3/4 helmet though. I can see where a half helmet could be a problem though.
  13. No, the law when I was in was that even if my license expired while I was out of my home state, it was still good for something like 30 days after my return to the state. This guy's license had been suspended not just expired.
  14. I pray that God will comfort you through this time.
  15. Just a couple posts up from yours, mine is in the process of totally crapping out for the second time.
  16. I have had a 765 for quite awhile now. I like the size, the screen washes out more in sunlight than my Iway 500 does, etc. I would be ecstatic with it, but, right after I got it, it stopped charging through the USB port. Sent it in under warranty and everything was great. Heading up to the GA maintenance day, I didn't have directions written down because I had my trusty Garmin. Except that it decided that once again it didn't want to charge or power through the USB port. Major PITA. Now it doesn't even want to charge (although it will power up) through the cradle. Garmin wants $99 to repair. Trying to decide if the lighter weight and newer tech is worth getting another, repairing this one, or just going back to my lowrance.
  17. I don't do group rides anymore but at one time (and maybe it still happens) Callaway Gardens had a day for motorcycles. It is a nice place to go, the flowers, butterfly house, bird show, and the Christmas lights and other events are well worth the money. Yeah, I would like to be able to ride my bike through the park anytime I wanted, but it is their house and I have to respect their rules or do without.
  18. This is probably not your issue, but it may help someone else. I started getting extremely loud squealing through the headset when the bike was in motion. It was totally over-riding everything else. Happened with the CB off or on. I did a lot of stuff, including using dielectric grease on connections. Nothing worked until one day I turned the intercom way down. My wife is usually on her own bike so we don't use the intercom very much. Anyway the sound is very clean now.
  19. 7 days, my hind end. Take your time, and if you see your shadow when you decide to go out in public, go back inside for six more weeks. You have been missed, good to see your post.
  20. I know I am late with this, but hope you have good news soon.
  21. There are even owners manuals online. I don't think Yamaha charges for the one on the website. I do have one in pdf format, but I honestly think he is only asking all the questions so we won't forget that he has a shiny new second gen.
  22. With the internet it is easier for folks farther away to try a fleece the troops, but this is nothing new. When Ft Polk was going strong with basic and advanced training, Leesville was filled with people skilled at trying to get the young soldiers to part with their cash. We even had people that would try to get on base to go to the barracks to try and drum up their business. The sad part is that some of the worst folks were former servicemembers. I appreciate what you are doing to try and protect the troops, but there are also good NCOs out there on the bases schooling their troops on the "facts of life".
  23. Good luck, will be watching for your next post. Sent from my ADgR6300 using Tapatalk
  24. Hope he heals quickly
  25. I finally found the forum listing in tapatalk. i like this much better than trying to read a forum in a browser on this phone. Plus with speech recognition I don't even have to thumb type. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
