  7. Ehhhh, you post in one of my threads, I thank you...
  8. Actually, the MK1 and early Mk2 '86 - '88 are pretty much interchangeable, and the EAD's bolt up the same as the hydraulic if I remember correctly from last winter's project...
  9. Yeah!!! From the start I never mentioned a single name!! Hmmm, who first mentioned Yama Mama's name...
  10. '84 - 17870 actual miles '09 - 6657 (today...)
  11. Yeah, Annie, but which came first???
  12. Try not to touch the glass with your fingers as it wil leave a film of oil on it and cause dark spots AND CAN ACTUALY BURN THE BULB OUT FASTER! As already stated, a diode will just drop around .7 - .8 volts depending upon the type. A 55 watt bulb will draw around 4.5 amps so the diode should be able to handlecloser to 10 amps for longevity. As far as any filtering, it won't do much for the rising and falling voltage. You could try a capacitor from hot to ground to filter out fluctuations of voltage. I really don't know why you are having these problems though, I have a pair of cheap driving lights on mine and they work fine, and have never used any expensive ones, just cheap ones with no problems...
  13. You know what is going to happen now??? "Thank You Whores..."
  14. Yah! Just saw it this morning too and was going to start a thread but then saw yours!! Thank you very much... (in best Elvis voice)
  15. Why do I have no problem at all bgelieving you???

  17. Quite the nice ride, about 150 miles or so. On the way out to our destination we saw 2 military cargo planes about to land, a little baby windmill (Compared to the giants at the local wind farms), and a rainbow all within a minute of each other. Here's some photos... 1. How did we get into the movie "Cars??" 2. I found Big Tom's bloomers hanging out to dry 3. This is the place we invaded... 4. Us Ventureriders gtta stick together! BB, BT, and Rickster 5. We saw some Canadians inside... 6. Even Beer 30 was there!! 7. There was evidence E-Fishin-C had been there 8. We even think we saw Starfan there... 9. Of course the Harley had to be pushed in... (to quote Harleyman, not me) 10. A Motley Crew if I ever saw one! 11. See, I can too stil swing a leg over.. 12. 18. Ha Ha!!! Got you to post!!!!!! I win...:stirthepot: Not really. Wasn't sure Peggy...
  19. I didn't know we were having a contest! I saw nothing about me stopping posting in her thread...
  20. In regards to my recent thread about Post Whoring, my warped sense of humor sometimes wanders out where the busses don't run. My interpretation of a post whore was merely someone who makes a lot of posts, period. However, after going to Urban Dictionary I've discovered that is no longer the case, and the term has been elaborated on, categorized, molded, analized, and in general turned in to something not so nice. My original intent was just to attract your attention to congratulate you on wining the St Judes fleece auction, and not to criticize, insult, or bring any negative attention to you. I was out of line with my post, and do humbly apologize. Yama Mama is a fine example of the type of character that makes up this "Family" here. She is constantly spreading her joy to everyone and is a pleasure to know. I have never read anything negative she has posted, and am glad to know her...
  21. Or in other words senses when your ignition needs a "boost"
  22. What RU looking for, Yammer???
  23. ...and you didn't stop over here????
  24. Holy Cow!! All I was trying to do is attract her attention so I could congratulate her on winning the St Jude auction!! How it started is I went to the clasifieds to see who won, and the post counts were there, and her count really surprised me! I know I post a lot, but hers was near double mine, so hence the title of the thread!! Don't do it, Peggy, the withdrawal will be waaaay too unbearable, both ours and yours!!!
  25. OK first, the rated power output of an amplifier is it's maximum rating. Unless you have the volume turned up all the way, you are not going to deliver that kind of power. You do, however, want a power rating that will handle the maximum output of the radio (don't ask how I found this out). That being said, the stock speakers were only rated around 20 watts if I remember correctly, but you can use ones rated around 50 watts and the system will drive them just fine. Another point is the old ratings game. RMS power is .707 of peak power, and multiply x2 for peak to peak power which is what some speaker manufacturers do to make their specs lok good, and they also seem to add a little more to that number! I have seen supposedly 100 watt speakers fry on an amp honestly rated at 50 watts RMS (True) power. That's also another point, amplifiers sometimes use this tactic to make you believe that their product has more power when in reality it doesn't. Any wAy as long as the speakers are rated at least 25 watts and have a 20 oz magnet, they should be fine, but remember what John Arbuckle said, "You get what you pay for..."
