HELP!! I need some educated information......
bongobobny replied to stubby62's topic in Watering Hole
Welcome aboard! I have a 29" inseam and can keep my feet flat on the ground with my 2nd gen but not my heels on my 1st gen. Both are Ventures. Keep in mind that thy 2nd Gens are a bit top heavy but it only comes into play at low speed handling. You will be hard pressed to find a more comfortable bike, especially for 2 up. The best bet is to take one for a test drive before making any decisions. They are pretty much bullet proof and run for a very long time... -
That would be a pleasure!! I would love to see your new paint job!! You know, seeing your Hannigan at the International last year was the final reason to want to go Hannigan!

We pretty much ride every weekend! Welcome aboard!!!

The way I feel about it (I'm 60% disabled) is that even if I'm confined to a wheelchair, I'll motorize it and figure out a way to steer it with handlebars...

Perhaps your slave cylinder is giving up the ghost. After all it is over 26 years old! You can either rebuild it or replace it for about the same cost from what I've been told. Also, you may have a lose mechanical seal on one of the lines or a leaking line. It wil bleed ok but still fail dynamically. Keep in mind the rubber is also 26 years old. If you replace lines, replace with Stainless Steel shielded lines, makes a huge difference!

Sounds Waaaay cool Monte!!! Looking forward to it!

When I get to heaven, I don't expect to see a Catholic, Baptist, Luthern Muslim, Jehovan Whitness, Morman, New Ager, or anything else than the actual God Almighty, creator of the universe there. There isn't a religion or church in the world that wil get you to heaven. I choose to follow the words of Christ that say "No man gets to the father except thru me!" Congratulations on your confirmation, Caharley, on your confirmation, and let this be just your first step on your spiritual journey! Don't stop there, as there is sooo much more to learn and experience!!

DOT only applies to USA, not to Canada. Yes it is a concern but in case of an accident, there are no guarantees on anything...

Taters didn't go??? Wow, after talking to Big Tom last night I thought for sure she would be there! Of course we were surprised that she considered it at all!!

OK here's the agenda so far. We are leaving on the 27th around noon give or take. We are meeting up with Dingy in Madison Ohio sometime late afternon to exchange a couple of parts and some convewrsation/refreshments at exit 169 (or was it 167?) I think. We want to make it to at least Cincinatti that day. ATTN: Yama Mama, maybe meet up with you and Ron for a bit?? Sunday we plan on getting to Murray Ky. by early evening at the Best Western Hotel near the airport. Drop off Sexi Monday morning and are available for free time with any members in the area. This includes Monty, B2Dad and Mom plus a few other members close by I think. Want to see Monte's new scoot!! I'm leaving it up to Monte to work out the details, late dinner on Sunday is also an option. We check out of the Best Western Tuesday morning and are on our way to Nashville for 2 days. Staying at a Hampton for two nites, can't remember which one but will supply the info later. Anybody in the area there?? Lets meet up!! Thursday night back to the same Best Western, and pick up Sexi Friday after the surgery. Can't wait!!! Head back Friday evening, destination??? Travel the rest of the way home Saturday just in time for Easter Sunday and family over for dinner. Want to see the Corvette Museum and assembly plant in Bowling Green some time during the week as well if possible, but not a "have to do" event. We can always do it some other time in a couple of years. Input??

Last night I brought home the new trailer, so I quick ran up to Pioneer Motorsports to get it inspected. In the mean time Brad T and Naugh T were on the way over for a visit. Got home about 5 minutes before they showed up! Well, I had an appointment for a haircut at noon, so Brad, Rhonda and Becky went to the restaurant for lunch while I got my haircut. Got there just in time to order. Had a great lunch, aqnd finally got back around 1:15. Next order of the day, get brand new tires for the Monte. Loaded the old tires and rims into the trunk and back seat and headed off to BJ's Wholesale for a set of new Michelins. Got about halfway there and realized I forgot the lug nuts for the sumer rims! Also, had to stop at Lowes to find the key for my Bro-in-law's garage that he gave me before picking up the trailer from Lowes. It dropped out of my pocket, I knew it because I used it for a philips screwdriver to attach the plates, and I didn't havde it when I got home. Anyway, onwards to BJ's to get the new tires mounted. Went to Pier 1 while waiting. Picked up the tires, came home and put the sumer tires on and took off the snows. Bolted the new toolbox to the trailer, and now it's dinner time...

IMHO $1900 is a STEAL if it runs good and is really 34K miles...

I was going to mention Cutco as well, they are world famous, perhaps the best knifes in the world. Thry have a patented process for honing the edge and are razor sharp and stay that way. Lifetime guarantee. Made in Olean, NY about 30 miles from here. We have a set and love them. But, they may be just lout of your price range as a starter set goes for more like $400, and it is easy to spend $1000 with add ons...

Which ones are you looking for? Location??
