  1. Please feel free to hook up with us WNY riders!! We will be glad to escort you thru NY to PA border and then some!! Depending in the day will also have lunch with you!!!
  2. Well, I figure I will run out of bling to add to the trike sometime this summer, and I really want to get a 2 wheeler going while I can still ride one...
  3. Yes it does, and so does Big Tom's but we both fixed it with a wide piece of plastic adhesive chrome. When it gets way too scratched, we just tear off the old pieces and put on new pieces!!
  4. Ubetcha Mike!!!!!
  5. OK shock spoken for...
  6. Right on, Ben! same law stateside. Should apply to MC's too, but you are right, the law gets bent sometimes...
  7. Looks fantastic!! Good job! Yes, the basic mods can turn into major projects, can't they?!!?
  8. Nice mod!! Very efficient! May do the same to mine when I morph them onto the 1st gen MK1...
  9. OK several people have been asking about the leftover parts from ythe Hannigan hack, so here';s what's gone already. Diamond R hide a hitch, gone! Rear fender, Gone! Rear rotor, gone! Saddlebags are going on Goldie mounted backwards to accomodate the Ventureline rear bumper, so gone! Rear brake, gone. Yet to find a home, chrome triple tree, rear shock, rear tire, differential (hoping to sell to a VMax owner exchange) and rear sub frame. These parts have only 8K on them. The rear shock was sold but the interested party recently totaled his scoot. If interested just PM me...
  10. OK the ground may be common to the hitch thru the tongue and frame or vice versa but someone could misinterpret that statement and think that you mean the ground is coming from the car or bike battery ground thru the hitch and to the trailer lights. By your own description ground is thru the white wire and not thru the hitch. OK my new Carry On is thru the frame, but my little behind the bike Piggy-Backer trailer is thru wires if I remember correctly. Most manufactured trailers I've run across are 4 wire system, not to say there are a few 5 wire trailers out there but mostly large commercial versions. Bottom line, if the wires to one of the tail light assembly is wired backwards, the symptom is dim running lights. There is usually a brown dot for the tail light filiment. After you have seen a few of these you just look for that and switch the wires to fix it. My new Carry On had exactly that problem. When doing a safety inspection it is routine to check the "headlights on" function first as it shows up right away...
  11. Do you mean no cable thru the front wheel ? Well, yes it will not have that cable on it, it will have a much heavier duty cable on it!! Also it will have more lights and chrome on it...
  12. Edit to above. If the wires are switched, when you put the turn signal on, the runing light will go out...
  13. Couple of things, Charlie. First make sure that the wires are in the correct location. If they wired it wrong, the tail lights will be dim, and when you do the brake/turn signal test, they won't work right. My brand new trailer came from the factory with one of the taillight assemblies having the 2 wires switched! This is unfortunately very common with new trailers. Second, as was mentioned you could have a bad ground on the socket. Whoever mentioned that the ground comes thru the hitch is wrong, on a 4 wire plug the white wire is ground. The brake and turn are common and the left and right turn signal interupt ground for the brake light. the 4th wire is runing lights. Now, if one of the sockets was wired wrong, now you may understand why the running lights are dim, the 12 volts is going thru both filiments in a series configuration resulting in the bulb eing half as bright... A 5 wire system is separate lines for brake, left turn and right turn, and running lights with a common ground. Most foreign cars arre a 5 wire system and require a 5 to 4 wire adapter to work right. A lot of US cars are also now 5 wire systems, and require the 5 to 4 wire system adapter. Our motorcycles require these adapters.
  14. OK hot off the press Next week it will lok different...
  15. Do0n, I ust gave away my last 2 bells this afternoon, so it's time to order a few more. I'll PM you later...
  16. Yah! around 25 mpg...
  17. Yes it is! Also one of the widest wheelbases. Uses a Thunderbird rear end and Bembro disc brakes and SS lines. They are the Cadillac of trikes!!
  18. Lowe's, but if I had it to do over again I would have shopped around. Some guy in Tennessee said he could have sold me one like it for about $300 less, but maybe he was using the "Too bad" tactic to make his business look good. It is a Carry On, and although the quality is OK there are a few things about it that are cheap and junk, IE plastic licence plate holder that broke the first day, poor wiring connectors, etc. I am overall happy with it though because it's nothing that can't be fixed...
  19. Hey Rickster, you're close enough to come over and see it in person...
  20. Well, He arose after 3 days in the ground, defeating death, showing the way and giving us a new life, sooo, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
  21. OK Sneak preview for all the rest of you people...
  22. Likewise Don!! Truth be told I haven't even taken any pictures of the finished product yet, but you already seen it almost done! Picked up some amber oval tail lights from a Flying J on the way home. Decided for my color the amber there would lok better than the red. Now for a shopingt spree at Auto Zone and Pep Boys...
  23. Why, yes they will... The camera is stil in the car and I'm not going outside in my skivvys, especially seeing as when we came in the driveway it was 79 and by the time everything was unloaded it was down to 58!!!
  24. Gee, we got home in time to ride. Oh, that was 9 AM, not PM...
  25. OK Skid et al, sneak preview...
