  5. Went to a party, drank some Vodka, came home, went to sleep. Woke up, read mail and came on here. Presently typing this post...
  6. So far so good, but it's still early...
  7. No, it has to be a STAR accessory...
  8. WOW!! 3 replies at once all saying the same thing!!
  9. OK do NOT hook up the horn to the stock horn wires, you will burn out the horn switch!! Use the horn wires to fire a relay and have the relay switch on 12 volts directly from the battery. The minus of the horn goes to ground. It does not matter which wires go to the primary winding of the relay. BTW I strongly believe the OEM for both Stebel and Wolo are one and the same as the parts are directly interchangeable. Your horn does not have the power it needs from the stock horn wires...
  10. Funny you should mention the Star card, I spent $359 on Safety Chrome today!! I'm running out of OEM accessories to buy, though...
  11. Gas!!!!! As far aS GOODIES go, add a zero to the amount and ask again...
  12. Yah! That is my thought as well, bad wires!! They are probably the original 27 year old wires! Also, plugs should almost be changed on a yearly basis on these scoots for proper performance. If only one cylinder was firing poorly I would begin to suspect the coil itself. but I more so would change the wires and plugs first...
  13. That guy is OBVIOUSLY single to have an Army scoot in his living room!! Even my wife who loves to ride would NEVER tolerate that!!!
  14. Happy New Year!!!!:wow:
  15. In their day, they were a lot like the Victory Vision (or perhaps Frank Zappa), you either loved them or hated them! I personally think they were a very nice and desirable scoot but as already mentioned, I think the price is a tad too high...
  16. You can never predict the attendance even if you post it on the calendar. Pretty much pitch it a couple of months in advance and give an agenda for the activity. If you are planning a ride plan it a good month in advance and make sure you run thru it a day or 2 before the event just in case of detours, etc. You can always pick up some inexpensive gifts, like deluxe candy bars, or key fobs or something to give out for prizes such as furthest away, first to come, nicest bike, etc. to entertain. Do as much of the food and seating prep before the event as possible. Other than that, just be friendly and enjoy yourself. If youy are having a good time, people will sense it and have a good time yourself. If you are uptight about something people will sense that as well and be on edge themselves...
  17. Front forks are different but interchangeable. I can't reemember which year they changed the TCI and pickup coil to a single pickup, I think it was '89 so that and the harness will be different...
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Paul!!!
  19. Actually I got a Sony Blu Ray with wireless internet and tried it out last night. Besides the pay for view there are a lot of free sites as well. We watched the crackle site which has a ton of very old TV series and old movies. We watched "Shampoo" for something to do...
  20. I have a spare oil pan (actually 2 of them) if you decide to go for it, you can have it for the cost of shipping. By looks of the damage I sort of doubt any frame damage, especially if the guy kept on driving it as is with no problem. Maybe replace the forks and triple tree to be safe (I have a spare triple tree too for shipping) but if it drives OK there is probably nothing wrong. From looking at the cosmetic damage all it seems to be is broken plasticon the side of the fairing mostly. You may need to replace the front fairing frame or at least straighten it a little. Yes, I have a spare one of those too... As pointed out, you have waaaay more than $500 in parts!! PS a possibility to Earl's observation is that it got hit on the saddlebag and went over causing the vertical scratches as it spun on the ground...
  21. Nekkid Wimmen!!! Awww, Mike, ya don't like Dancing In The Bars??? Me neither...
  22. I think that when being exposed to a body search at the airport, you should be allowed to choose the gender of the person performing the search!! Consider this thread hi-jack'ed...
  23. I use Nationwide for the RSV, and when I triked I just up'ed the coverage and it only increased about $20 for the year...
  24. You're NEVER done with Mods...
