I have the Air Mesh Kevlar Pants. Last summer, while visiting my kids in SoCal, I stopped by their facility, got measured & received them a couple of weeks later. I also have their Air Mesh Jacket (high viz/black). It has 2 liners: 1 is a waterproof & windproof liner & the other is a thermal liner. Haven't had to use the thermal liner, yet. Yes, they ARE expensive, but they protect better than leather @ 1/2 the weight & they breath. I love them. Remember, part of that price is due to the custom sizing. Everything fits perfectly because it was made to fit ME.

Starparts.org has the key blanks, as well, & some very nice ignition key covers. I have the original star badge. If you didn't know otherwise, you'd think it's just an ornament rather than the key in the ignition. Check it out.

I think this must have gotten lost in the crash of '06, or maybe deleted in the latest clean up. How do I change this, "http://www.venturerider.org" to this, "VentureRider"? Sorry to repeat this question. Thanks in advance.

Just one question: If I'm going to put Ride-On in the tires, should I forego the balancing?
-
I didn't know where else to put this. If anyone's interested, I have an OEM windshield that I no longer need, since I just replaced it with a Clearview. Don, let me know if this should go somewhere else. Thanks.

I don't see that they're made specifically for the RSV. Same at this site, not for RSV. Besides, "No Returns"?!?! Won't even try them. Thanks guys. I'll keep searching.

I did a search & found nothing about hand guards. Has anyone here put them on their RSV? I have a Clearview Shield coming soon, does this better protect the hands from the cold winter wind? Thanks.

Got mine yesterday. Thanks Don.

Confirming my order for 4 bells. I believe Denden & I are "swapping", since these need to be given away to work. Thanks, Don.
-
Mine will be available in a few weeks, once my Clearview arrives. If you can wait, it's yours.
-
Denden, I see you also ordered 4 bells. Wanna consider it a swap? Or anyone else? Thanks.
-
Don, I just put a money order in the mail this morning for the 4 bells I ordered. Thanks so much for getting this done. We all really appreciate your work.
-
I'll be sending you a MO for 4 bells this weekend. Thanks, Don, for all the work you've done to make this a reality.

Good idea. Quite a favorable response. I'm in for 3 or 4. Thanks, Don.

Opinions on LED Tail Lights / Turn Signals
awsmsrv replied to StarRider07's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I also have the custom dynamics tail/run light & dynamic clusters. Extremely bright. I love them. I bought the standard DOT flasher to correct the flash rate. The only thing is, I lost my emergency flashers, but that doesn't matter to me. No load equalizers also means less current in use. The load equalizers, as I understand it, still use the same current, but fools the "computer" into thinking there are incandescent bulbs. With the DOT flasher, no use of that original current. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. -
Thanks everyone. I do have Larry's lift adapter, but not the legged one. I'm thinkin' the best idea is just not lift the bike. Solves the fit issue. Thanks again.

I moved up to the RSV from a V Star 1100. Quite the difference in handling the weight of the RSV. You eventually get used to it. . . . You just have to change how you think, always staying aware of slope of the road when coming to a stop, etc. I've only been on 1 long trip (& that was alone), so far, but I love using it for my daily commute of 18 miles 1 way, half of that on the freeway. Also love the cruise control, radio (how'd I get by without it before?), smoothness & comfort. Great ride!

Last time I did this, I used a Tupperware container that almost overflowed by the time all the oil drained. I'm looking for something that will fit under my Sears bike lift, maybe 12"L x 10"W x 6"D. Any suggestion are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Wow! You, too?

2005 RSV Clutch & Brake Levers
awsmsrv replied to Rick Butler's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I changed mine out to the chrome ShowChrome levers. They're slightly differently shaped, but I actually like the feel of them better than the OEMs. The OEM aluminum ones turned my tan gloves a silvery black. Mostly the left glove, since that one's used a lot more. -
Great Idea for an Interior Trunk Light!

I did that to mine about a year ago. What took ya so long? :rotf:
