I know that you have probably taken care of this already, but I'll still say it. Patch the tire from the inside. I know MANY of the members here will say different and just to plug it, but when I managed a tire store, I NEVER installed just a plug into a tire. Yes it is a liability issue, and with this sue happy society that even if they dont take your business, you'll loose it due to spending thousands of dollars on a lawyer. A plug is a temporary fix to get it to where it can be properly fixed with a patch. Yes I know about all the people that plug tires everyday and drive them till the tire needs to be changed. My life is worth WAY more than what it costs to install a plug. Not starting a war here, just onther opinion on what I feel is the right way to fix ANY tire

Vic and Barb, Best wishes to you folks and you Vic for having to take the plunge. Your a good man and it doesn't surprise me that you didn't lead on to anyone. Keeping you in our thoughts and looking forward to hearing from you on how it went....take care of yourself my friend.

PCW Racing Clutch Spring
Squidley replied to tsigwing's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Barnett is a good clutch system, but I always use the PCW as it's cheaper. If you talk with John Gayne (the owner of PCW racing) he will point out that it keeps the dynamics of the clutch working exactly how the engineers intended it to work. BTW, I have installed half a dozen or better of these kits in various 1st and 2nd gens with zero issues. -
Glad to hear you 2 got to PA in 1 piece, doesn't surprise me about all the aid. I have met a lot of people in my life....and the ones here are some of the very best I know

Wayne, I'm in agreeance with Brian, just buy ice and that actually works 2 fold. The water that will be in the cooler will be cold, and I use a dew rag under my helmet. When we did our big trip in '06 going through Nevada in 100 degree temps I would take my dew rag and soak it in the cool water of the cooler and put it on. I also did that with our neck wraps and they acted like a swamp cooler and I stayed a lot cooler than if I didn't have them.

Mike....good or bad news

Todd, Sounds to me like you need to install a load equalizer for that circut. I know that some have put LED's in their turn signals and they flashed short and fast. The load equalizer levels out the system as far as I understand the unit.

My biggest turn off on the G2's is the front fairing, I still dont like how it looks. The only saving grace is that when you add the driving lights on it, changes the whole look of the front end

My biggest question is the heat as it's air cooled. I'm not a big twin fan and even though I like thinking out of the box, I'm not crazy about the design, it is a bold step though. I guess you'll really have to take one for an extended ride and see the quirks on it.

Thanks Folks, A few members had the chance to see it before we got home Big Tom, Taters, Bongobob and Becky. It didn't look anywheres near that good and I stripped it down to almost nothing and started from the ground up. The pics on the classifieds were a bit misleading, but I'm happy with the end result....and yes, I'm looking forward to putting the next 100K on her
