  1. We did call her the Elmer Fudd, I have to dig out some of those old 35mm photos, you know, the old fashion ones
  2. LOL....I'm not one to talk much either
  3. Ya Think!
  4. My tin can was a Knox class Frigate FF1082 USS Elmer Montgomery. I spent 9 month on her during the 1st Gulf War in The Med, Red Sea, Suez Canal, Indian ocean and the Persian Gulf. I was brown shoe Navy as I was a Helicopter Mechanic with the air detachment stationed on her from HSL 36. Anti Submarine Warfare was our game....not too many subs in the Gulf though I loved my time in, I was very alive back then, I wouldn't have changed my life one bit with everything I know now....the best years of my life so far
  5. Good to see your name back on the site Jonas. It was a great thing to be able to spend time with you at MD. Be safe and we look forward to seeing you again
  6. Thanks for the update Randy
  7. Very simple to remember about tire pressures...in order to have the max load capability, you have to have the max air pressure in the tire
  8. Breeze and Mike It was PastorPaul that had it, not sure if he still does but here's the thread http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42146
  9. If I can remember his name I'll post it for you.
  10. Rick, Those are very scary pics buddy, I'm glad to hear you are both alright. Wish we would have been able to catch up with you folks while you were up here in Michigan, were still here taking care of Dad. All the best to you folks and even though your mixed on the feelings of the occurance, make the trucking co. insurance pay for it
  11. Right now his name escapes me, but one of the members was giving away a backrest. He was right close to you in Georgia I believe. All you would have to do is find the brackets.
  12. Very VERY nice out of the box thinking! That is one of the coolest VR's I have seen, I would love to see it in person also
  13. Margaret....your entertaining to say the least
  14. No preach...just keep it civil
  15. All the best to her Lewis, I know that you and Charlene are very proud. It's a big step that will pay off well for her I'm sure

  19. I paid $350 for the one I bought and was estatic to get it for that price, you wont regret buying it
  20. I had the same grips on my '99 and I actually had the grip break between the rubber pads. They were ok but I wont buy the same kind again due to that happening on me.
  21. Hey Easy there swabbie! I ownes one of them vibrators
  22. I know there are post pertaining to cold solder joints in the tech library. Sounds like you might need to look into that. 1 st things 1st if you are leary of the battery, change it. Also clean ALL the connections very well, the ground cable connects down on the engine on the right side by the waterpump. These bikes are very picky electrically and corrosion can make things go stupid.
  23. MAN That was cold blooded!.....but way too funny
  24. Ok....Ok....Fine! I'll recieve Thank you all again, Freebird has always said you people are what makes VR.org the place it is. I could never argue that statement...especially now.
  25. I hate to say it, but that doesn't look like it will fit any year Venture that I have seen.
