Oh do I have plenty to say about Marcarl's happy-go-lucky comments on the and that has befallen us, BUT I must ASSUME Marcarl has slipped on the snow and hit his head and is talking in a post concussion state of mind. Hope you get well soon.

Just got done moving to a bigger place, in the past whenever I moved I'd rent a big u-haul and move everything in one load, one day and done. Well since I was only moving about a 1/2 mile away I decided to take the seats out of my mini-van and use it. 99Silver and Cap'n Quirk came over with Gary's trailer and helped move the big stuff, I of course thanked them and said "I can get the rest myself. Bad back and knees I was ready to go with the help of my 13 year old Daughter (who really did help a lot). Then it happened, first it started raining, the temperature started dropping, rain turned to sleet and the sleet turned to snow and everything that was wet turned to ice. So the move turned into a 3 day battle with the elements and left me so sick I'm living on NyQuil and the only time I get up is to make a mad dash to the bathroom. I vow to never move again until I can afford to move South where I will never see this white stuff again.

Drive my 2006 Uplander, never thought I'd own a mini-van but this is my third one. Versatile and great in snow. I'm moving this holiday weekend, popped the seats out and can haul most everything.

How many times have you bought a foreign product to save 5 or 10 dollars and have the thing not work right or break and have to go out and by the more expensive anyway to finish the job. Years ago I needed a new set of drill bits and money was tight, so I bought a less expensive set made in Taiwan. They would burn up or break half way thru a job, so I ended up buying a set of Black and Decker and still have them and using them to this day. Convinced me that less expensive does not mean it's not going to cost you more in the long run.

Looks like I'm out of the game until next spring. Found a place to store the bike and be able to work on it out of the elements and with heat. Time to take it apart and fix it up. Been fun.

On my 83 if I use the throttle lock I can go forever without touching the bars. but if I let go without using the throttle lock it will start the deceleration wobble at about 35mph just like yours did. I figured it was the nature of the beast. But do like suggested and try it with your cruise on.

There is a working steam powered sawmill less then 5 miles from my house in Crossroad Village, but no way to get a motorcycle back to it for a picture. Now maybe a 1905 motorcycle but not an 83VR. http://www.geneseecountyparks.org/pages/crossroads
