  1. We will be there before 11:00am.
  2. Lets not forget the House of Flavors where they make their own ice cream.
  3. Glad you picked Old Hamlin. I've had their fantastically good breakfast a few times. Do you have a rough estimate of what time we should be in Owosso?
  4. Larry: you posted : Yea going right thru Stockbridge on 52. Actually going thru it coming home too. I think we should be going thru town about 10am - 10:20. Pm me on where you want to meet at. Since Stockbridge is only 40 miles from Owosso do you think we should be OK if we are at Westown Shell at 11:00am?

  6. This concerns me also that my Doctor has never tested or said anything about A1C. I've been reading on line this morning and finding a lot of information that I had no idea of. Found almost everything I eat is bad for me. I'm trying to find a diabetes class that medicare will help pay for because there are a lot of conflicting ideas on the internet. Thanks again for your post. Oh by the way waiting for Doctors office to call me back to answer some of my questions.
  7. Wow did this hit home at the right time. I went to the Doctor Friday and got one heck of a wake up by the Doctor. I've been out of insulin for about 2 weeks and just didn't have the money to buy it and before I ran out I went down to one shot a day instead of two, then went to one shot every other day until I ran out. After he was done telling me I'm on the verge of kidney failure, loosing toes and eye sight he went out the door and came back with two bottles of insulin and told me to never run out again and if I can't buy it they always have samples. I was discovered having type 1 about two years ago when I went in for surgery and need to find a diabetics class because I do not know enough about it. You mentioned A1C and I have never heard that before, only thing I have is a Blood Glucose Monitor and my sugar has not been under 200 for a long time. After leaving the Doctor Friday I made up my mind to do what I'm told, find out what I'm supposed to eat and lose this 80lbs I gained. Got up Saturday and was supposed to meet some members to have breakfast and ride to Bikes on the Bricks but felt so sick I couldn't go. Blood sugar was 397. I'm supposed to (and will) take an injection of Victoza in the morning and 22cc if Lantus at night. Wish me luck on understanding this better and getting it under control. Thanks for reading....Karl
  8. Quick Stop does NOT have gas. Westown Shell has gas and is 1/2 mile west of 52 on 21. Westown Shell Foodmart 1119 West Main Street, Owosso, MI
  9. 1 mile west of 52 on 21 is a Quick Stop store on the right. How about there? It has a big parking lot because it's in a little plaza. 1740 West M21 Owosso 48867
  10. Capt'n Quirk and I are planning on meeting the group in Owosso.
  11. On the return trip could you possibly mean East on US10 to NORTH 31 (instead of US131) 31 goes north to 55 then east to 115. US131 and 115 intersects southeast of 55.
  12. Just made my reservation. Larry you can add Mike (Cap'n Quirk) to the list. he will be coming also and we will be sharing a room.

  20. If the graffiti picture is accepted it's Straycatt's post so let him have the win.
  21. ragtop69gs: THIS IS FOR YOU. Can you guess what finger I'm using to point to the sign? LOL.
  22. You are lucky she didn't say she wasn't coming back until the garage is built or you may never see her again.
  23. Did the demo ride today on a Spyder Touring and was shocked and impressed. A lot nicer then I expected and well worth the price of a Wing. Thing is so comfortable and the clutch-less paddle shifting is great. Has more bells and whistles then you can imagine and all sorts of storage space. I got the adjustable on the fly suspension system set and I couldn't feel a bump. Before the ride I asked the rep about comments I heard that it was twitchy steering, it has power assisted fly- by- wire steering. He said the riders that felt the twitch was more the likely griping it to tight. Sure enough as soon as i took off I felt the twitchy steering and lighted my grip and all was fine after that. I started out downshifting my self but it will downshift for you and I started letting it do it and it worked great, thing runs 55 mph at 3200 RPM in 5th, I let it slow down to 35mph in 5th then gassed it and no bog at all. When you paddle shift you don't let off the gas at all and at one spot was able get it on and the thing is quick. Lot of thought has gone into this Spyder with the traction control, ABS and all the computers and all comes together real good. That trailer for it looks regular from the outside but when you open it up it's HUGE. The trailer has electric brakes and when you plug it into the Spyder it calculates the weight and adjusts the gas, shifting and brakes to accommodate the extra weight. The thing that would take time to get use to is cornering, gives you the feeling that it will tip over or throw you off, but it won't, just the lack of leaning gives you that feeling on the first few turns. If the Spyder Truck comes to your area do yourself a favor and go take a ride, there is a lot more to them that you might think. OH the stereo sounds great and it even come with adjustable hand warmers for the passenger. The touring and the Sport are as different as a RSV and a crouch rocket so if you rode one when they first came out there are a huge difference.
  24. 83: Got it road ready April 2009 had 42,974 miles. Today: 62,772.
  25. The question is: Can a train go fast enough to keep along side a 1st gen in first gear? And I'll give you a stop sign when I see you next.
