    I knew there was a manual here but I wanted an original hard copy for the bike, here's the link http://www.mcmanual.com look around, I'm sure he has more. The one I got looks brand new.

    When I bought my Venture (used, 1 year old) it didn't come with an owners manual. I've been stewing over it since. Well, I finally found an original owners manual on Ebay for $39 delivered. Probably paid too much but I didn't check and don't care, I have one now - I'm sure the guy had more if anybody needs one. Let me know and I'll look up the link

    I read somewhere that your credit rating also was used to set insurance rates.

    Whizzer motor bike a couple Cushman motor Scooters too many dirt bikes - Kawasaki, Bultaco, Maico, Yamaha and more 6 or 7 Goldwings including 2 Trikes 650 V Star 1100 V Star 1300 Venture My favorite dirt bike was the 450 Maico - should have been named "animal" or "twist & Hang-on" My favorite street bike is my Venture

    I might have an advantage with both UPS and FedEx - We have had the same UPS driver for 25 years and one of the FedEx drivers is a friend and riding buddy. Did you know that your FedEx driver is most likely an independent contractor ? He/she owns their truck and bought the "route" from FedEx. The thing about FedEx is that there are several methods of delivery, regular home, overnight and express and they even have delivery available via semi as long as you have facilities to load/unload. I'm sure UPS has pretty much the same -

    If fedEx makes a delivery, they have in the past left a delivery slip on one of my doors indicating where it was left. When we get a substitute driver, we almost always get items delivered to my sons place of business. His address is 116 Bridge street and my addy is 116 Water Street and believe it or not, it's the same street.

    It's impossible to get anymore but there used to be a gas station nearby that sold white gas. We used it in place of Coleman fuel - somewhere around $1.25 a gallon yeah - that's right , looooong time ago

    Slyvester - my wife is riding with me and there are (right now) 3 other bikes. The lead bike ( Frank Kemp) has been there many times, not sure how many but he and his wife have an itinerary of things they have seen/done in the past. We're staying at the Residence Inn just outside DC. Riderduke - It would be cool to possibly meet up for a M&E - don't know how much time we'll have.

    Congrats !!! It takes a lot of intensive training and dedication. I have 3 step-sons that have been studying since they could walk, one is a 7th degree black belt. lotta work -

    Is anybody here going to DC on Memorial Day weekend ? I am going for the first time this year, been wanting to go for years. I've never even seen the wall except for the portable wall that I've had the privilege to escort a couple times.

    If you flash or strobe the blue LED's while traveling down the highway, you are SURE to catch the attention of every leo in sight. Probably get a ticket as well.

    I opted for Joe Florida LED's - they were slightly higher in price but are guaranteed for life, have 17 functions, plug and play, double sided tape and are remote controlled oh yeah, $135.00

    don't know about other states but is is against the 'law' in Ohio to flash your lights to warn others of a speed/radar trap. So I guess I'm braking the law all the time.

    This is the unit I use also. The only problem that I have with it is that I'm more than slightly hard of hearing and I have to have the volume up a little higher than my wife's. One up is no problem because there is enough air between the headset and ear that you can hear the radio as well as what's going on around you.
