  1. The ghost bore a strange resemblance to none other than Boomer, who floated just above the shoulder of the road as he finished each statement with his enlightened statements of pure truth.....and held in one hand....what? a bottle of scotch......no it can't be.....he....
  2. the guys had heard all about country music and were eager to finally make it to Nashville. They had secretly put (in the saddlebags)...............
  3. Ha! That was cold, man!!!!!
  4. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Now that was funny right there.....I don't care who you are............
  5. Not that I'm aware of. As you said, it's pretty straight forward.
  6. about 3 feet in diameter before I could get to the oil dry.
  7. You better believe it came out fast and I think the motorkote made it hotter too!!!!!! And no, I don't think the whine is any quieter. At least not yet anyway. I only rode about 5-6 miles before I stopped and pulled my expensive little stunt. It may get better as I get a few more miles on it. It doesn't matter to me tho. The whine in mine is/has always been tolerable. I wanted the engine protection more than anything else. Now I tell you what tho, those RK's without the baffles......THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. The sound is perfect. At normal running speed there is a nice normal purr, but when you twist on it, the produce a nice low bark & that's exactly what I was looking for.
  8. I've done some dumb things in my day, but today took ranks right up there in the top 5. Today I changed my oil and added motorkote too. That's about $60 worth of lubricant (Amsoil). I also had cut the rear baffles out of my road king's. I couldn't wait to hear that so I had to run it down the road. Like those alot better. I took another look at the oil level and realized I had overfilled it. To keep this short.....Oil takes longer to cool down than you think. When I pulled the plug out (not hot) and the oil (extremely hot) flowed down over my hand, it was so hot I couldn't get the dad blamed plug back in. Yep, that's right $60 worth of Amsoil & Motorkote right out on the floor. Live and learn, I guess.:mo money::mo money:
  9. Dude, that's a nice trailer......and don't pay attention to those who say why pull when you can ride! I for one enjoy pulling my trailer on some vacations.
  10. Putting in motorkote as we speak......after that the drill comes out. Just can't decide if I want to drill a couple of small holes in them or go ahead and take them all the way out with the hole saw.
  11. Jim, have you checked/changed your plugs? I changed mine out and it made a considerable difference. Ken aka slick97spirit
  12. Now what was this thread about>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>?
  13. Very nice, I rode a 97 Shadow Spirt (hence my screen name) for about 6 years. Those things are bullet proof. Hope she enjoys it as much as I did mine.
  14. You have a reason to be proud. To have 2 sons serving at one time. Our thanks go out to you and your boys. I pray for their safe return.
  15. I have a blackberry, but I don't know anything about a password keeper. Can you tell me how to access it?
  16. Bill, Couldn't agree more. Negligence = nail em........Accidents=just that, an accident.
  17. Criminal Minds, NCIS, Monk
  18. How about (pronunciation)"Diogee" Get it "D-O-G"
  19. They put those up in Southeast Missouri last year. The big difference here is that they have 4 strands on break away posts. The other big difference is that they didn't put them in the middle of the median. They put them 10 feet from the edge of the left lane. The first biker that hits one of those, they'll be picking him up in quarters.
  20. mine does the same thing occasionally. I think it's a normal thing with these bikes.
  21. Ok this is embarrassing, but my "old handle" from years ago was "Charlie Tuna." Ha! Started using it one day while I was trying to come up with one and saw the tv commercial.
  22. I guess I'm just gonna have to break down and have Rick take care of mine too. By the way. How'd you like the Hot Springs area. There's some fine riding around there. Did you happen to hit highway 7?
  23. My wife did the double knee squeeze every time the bike would hit the least little bump in the road for at least 2 years after she started riding with me. She finally relaxed enough that she sits back there and dances to the tunes now. Took her some time to trust that I could handle it over those bumps.
  24. Wow the fun I had on my 1973 Honda CL 70 Scrambler. Rode that thing like a full blown dirt bike, then would try to sneak out and ride it on the road like I was a true biker. No telling how many tail light lenses I put on that thing after trying to ride wheelies to impress the gals. Didn't work out too well. Like I said, I replaced alot of lenses. HA! :15_8_211[1]:This is what I thought I looked like at the ripe old age of 14.
  25. Smart man!
