WOW,We work at the same place? We lost 401K match, lost pay raise, lost profit bonus, lost uniforms, lost coffee, raised optical coverage 21%, raised dental cost 9%, raised ins cost 15%, raised ins deduction from $200 to $500, raised max out of pocket from $750 to $1475 (can't figure out why the odd figure?). Average work week for 2009 was 62% overtime (that works out to 64.8 hours a week AVERAGE for the year), there were some 80 and 90 hour weeks. And we get the same thing, "You should feel lucky to have a job"! I feel lucky to take nourishment and not wet myself. Working all year with these hours "for less money and benefits" my body is a mess, I am so tired and wore out at the end of the day I just want to tell them to stick it! And I won't even start about the toll it takes on family! The company made RECORD profits for 2008, made a "substantial" profit for 2009 and is forecasting the same thing for 2010! Work more for less seems to be the new company policy. We had every thing taken from us last year (we thought) and now we are loosing some vacation and sick-days. OH and my father died Tuesday, the hand book says we get a 3 day bereavement for immediate family. Told me that has changed, we now get 2 days! LUCKY????????? You bet, that is how I feel, ya right! It is all those companies like ours that will not hire, that is adding to the problem!! OK, OK I'm getting off my now. Have a great day! Bryan

Northern Virginia - Wiring RSV for towing trailer
bryan52577 replied to Gamecock's topic in Trailer Talk
At the back of the RSV the colors are as follows: Dark green is the right turn signal. Dark brown is the left turn signal. Blue is the tail light. Yellow is the brake light.(Well yellow doesn't show up well but you get the picture) Black is ground. (You will need to change a wire here or there to get the proper lights to work but this will give you an idea as to what is where NOW and make the change easier. As you can see green is the only wire that is for the correct light "right turn"). US trailer wiring specs as follows: 4 way flat molded connectors allow basic hookup for three lighting functions; right turn signal / stop light (green), left turn signal / stop light (yellow), taillight / license / side marker (brown) and a ground (white). 5 Way Systems Same as 4 way system listed above but adds a extra blue wire for brake signal or auxiliary power. Used on pop up camper trailers or utility / boat trailers. 6 Way System, Rectangle Plug 3/4 inch by 1 inch 6 way rectangle connectors right turn signal (green), left turn signal (yellow), taillight (brown), ground (white). The red and blue wire can be used for brake control or auxiliary. Use on a small motorcycle trailer, snowmobile trailer or utility trailer. 6 Way Systems, Round Plug Round 1 1/4" diameter metal connector allows 1 or 2 additional wiring and lighting functions such as back up lights, auxiliary 12v power or electric brakes. Note: The black (sometimes red) 12v and blue electric brakes wire may need to be reversed to suit the trailer. Check with a test light or VOM. Uses: horse trailer, travel trailers, landscaping trailer, car trailer, etc. 7 Way Systems Round 2" diameter connector allows additional pin for auxiliary 12 volt power or backup lights. Uses: heavy duty landscaping trailer, car trailer, boat trailers, horse trailer, travel trailer, construction trailer, etc. Check with a test light or VOM. -
Northern Virginia - Wiring RSV for towing trailer

I would wire it for you, but..........I live in Iowa. I am sure there will be someone around you that will help you out. Everyone on here is very helpful. Bryan -
WOW, I could go into buisness for myself??????????? I could get a pick-up and tank in back with a sprayer. Have my boy spray / wash the lights. Let me see what to charge,,,what to charge? Lets see if I understand the way these contracts work? If I would bill them $5 a light they would just do it them selves so, since it is a gobernment contract, charge $50 to $75 per light and get the contract and live high on the hog for a while.. Or untill someone charges $100 and takes the contract away.. Thanks!! Bryan

Craig, When we left the Davis Rally on Sunday we road over to Magreger (SP) and road down the river to Davenport then cut cross country back to Oskaloosa. It was late by the time we got back, but we had a lot of fun! Like you said maybe next year! Bryan

This is my week to work in Omaha. So I was out getting parts to repair a machine and spotted a white Venture at the junction of N. 30th and Sorensen Pkwy at 11:45 am. Not good with years, but it was a 1st gen. Nice day out in the 50's already. Hope you enjoyed the ride. Bryan

To bad I missed you, there were so many bikes all lit up that now I got the itch to try a little lighting myself. Bryan

We went there for the first time this year. Found it by accident just out riding around. I will say it is NOT like most, or should I say any parties or rallies we have ever been to. There was no "wet T-shirt" or any obnoxious drunks or any naked riders, no burn-out pits that I saw either. It was a very "Family" orientated rally. There was about 30 + venders, leather goods, parts, Dino truck to see what your HP is, bike camping trailers, different trike makers and people putting murals or lights on the bikes and many more. At night they had a "lighted" bike parade. Which I thought was cool cause I never saw so many bikes with so many different "colored" lights. (Like the kids have under their cars, only better.) About every kind of bike make and style was represented. If you plan on going, plan on camping or try to get a motel now cause the closest motel we could find was a 30 mile ride away from the grounds. We were just out for a ride so we did not have the trailer with us for camping. We are planning on going back and camp next year. All in all we had fun and met a lot of really nice people. Bryan

Another thing to think about is day or night here in Iowa the farmers are out hot and heavy trying to get the crops in. When going around curves if you are going to hit them hard you may just slide across the road. This past weekend Lisa & I were out getting some "last of the season" riding in. When I came to a corner (I always look for "bad things" in the curve, gravel, animals, turtles, what ever). Anyway we came to a curve and I saw something strange so I hit the brakes hard before I got to the curve. Evidently the one just before me into the curve was a "over full" wagon full of soy beans. A bunch of the beans went over the top of the wagon or he had a leak and was loosing some. I had to go clear over in the far lane and stay up right with feet down at 1 mph just to get through the 30 to 40 feet of tiny "marbles" he left in the road. I would not have seen it at night I don't think? And those little beans can sure hold a lot of weight and still roll! So, I say always look ahead and be prepared for ANYTHING! If it looks odd, brake! Bryan

I think these are the ones Ben is talking about? I can see fun here! Bryan

I had brand new Avons put on my o5 and had the same problem. Wobble / shimmy when letting off gas. Took it back to the shop and dealer lifted the bike up and spun the front tire. That is where it got interesting, bead was set good and true. But tire had a bow in it side to side and was not "round" tire would go in and out as we spun it. Only time I could tell was when I let off the gas. Avon sent a new tire "free" but it didn't get here by the long weekend. So dealer put on a Dunlop E3 he had (we tested the bike with it on before telling Avon too) and I bought it. Turns out it was of the 130 size not the 150 size...... After just 100 miles on the 130 I will never put the 150 back on! WOW is all I can say. " Now I have a 150 new Avon just sitting in my garage." Avon had less noise than the Dunlop and Dunlop or Avon don't matter to me but I am hooked on the 130 now. Long story short have the front tire checked, (even new tires can be bad) or the steering head bolt could be loose too. Bryan

Thanks for the comment on the trailer, built & pulled it for the past 11 years with a Honda Shadow Spirit 1100cc. The RSV does not even know its back there. LOL May get off at 5:00pm today think my cell # is in the profile. If you want to give me a call and we could meet for supper some where? Bryan
