When you turn 65 and on medicare it's tricare for life. No out of pocket expenses. It'S the best thing since slice bread! Phill

Met up with a bunch of the FJR riders (about 50) at the Rio Grand Gorge in Taos NM, during our ride last week. One of the guys (The leader of the group) had a car tire on his rear. I was just wondering if any Venture riders did this. I know some of the Gold Wings are know to do this. No I'm not thinking about putting on on my first generation Venture.

Heard today from K&N, Yamaha will not relase other Venture until 2012 or 2013. They showed a 2011 (Blue/black) in their dealer book. This must be left overs from 2009. I wonder what Yamaha is up to now for the touring market.

I rode over to Chandler to the old Seaba Station. It has been turned into a Motorcycle Museum. They do not have all the bikes in yet. It was still pretty interesting. Starting this Sunday (Aug 29th) and ever last Sunday of each month they will have a breakfast ride in. It will start at around 8:30am or so. It is located 5 miles west of Chandler Ok on Route 66. We rode it with slit on the road back in 92 on our way to V-Daze in Kailspel. It's a ride you want forget!

When you get to tulsa take ok 66 to sapulpa (stop at k&n motorcycles owned by norm mcdonald inventor of the k&n filter ) oldest yamaha dealer in the us. Follow 66 to ok 33. Take 33 a cross the state. Lot of different historic towns a long the way. When you hit the texas border you should run into us 60.

I bought this Olympus C-4000 digital camera Sat at a garage sale for $1.00. I mounted it on the bike this morning for my ride to Tulsa to have some breakfast with my Sr. Homies, just to get a feel how it was going to work. I had to take a rubber malit to mine and knock it back a little. -
check you brake and clutch switches. make Makesure they haven't come un-plugged. you might want to pull them loose from the switch and clean the contacts. Just a starting point. Phill
