  1. I was going to post this, but then thought the better of it,,,,, I thought there may be more folks who would be looking for a 'free' meal. But now that you brought it up,,,,, Last Wednesday, Gary lead a ride for lunch to Grand Bend Ont. He invited me to attend, which I agreed to do. I arrived at the appointed location about half hour before the rest of the ageless riders did. When I got off my scoot, I realized that my back pocket was minus it's normal paraphernalia, and that would be the thingie I use to straighten out my locks and the most important part: my wallet,,,,,, boy did I feel naked, and not only that,, I was hungry, and my tank needed gas to get back home. All I could scratch together was $2.30. Well with what was still in the tank,,, that could maybe get me close to home, so for half an hour, I was sweating it out,,,,, where are my friends????? well I mean I had to make some friends pretty quick, or do some walking. I had called my wife to see if I had forgotten to change my wallet, and found it was safely at home. In time,,,,,, some time,,,,,, Gary did show up, along with Mary, to whom I told my sad story, and who then went immediately to Gary, and convinced him that I was really a nice person and totally in need of some funds. Thanks Mary,, you are the greatest. Along with a little BS that's the long of it, the short is, Gary is a great guy, Mary is his wife and a fantastic woman, and I got fed and had money for gas.
  2. Tom and I had to stay out of the way,,,, that way there would be enough ice-cream and food to go around.
  3. Happy Birthday from Canada ,,, yes we have birthdays as well,,, and although we may look young, we do age,,, gracefully, just like you.
  4. I would hope it's still under warranty
  5. One important thing to do when replacing the seals is to tape over the ciriclip cutout on the fork tube, if you don't do this, you can or will put a small gouge in the seal,,, every-time.

  7. Also, was the trailer attached when all went dark??? then your problem might be in the trailer.
  8. I'm not a real real electrical guru, but have run into the same issues and had to solve them on my own,,, yes it makes real sense, somewhere you have rubbed through the insulating jacket of the wire, or somewhere something is grounding out,,, most likely somewhere in the area where you were working on it. Maybe a cover is pinching a wire, or maybe a connection isn't covered well enough. A bump will then jiggle the wire where it then touches a metal part and so grounds out and blows the fuse.
  9. Nope, it's all your fault,,,, you should have kept an eye on yours, knowing mine went missing, now the tow of them got together and went for a visit to Dingy's, you can just see what happened,,,,,,, more little wretches.
  10. If I don't get my own back, I will order two,,,, that I can remember,,, now who the second one goes to, might slip my mind, or I might at that time think I was being proactive to buy two, just so I'll still have one when one goes awol.
  11. Good thought at this point,,, I had discounted it, but with the results of hammering it, I would agree,,, maybe an easy fix. Thomas doesn't smoke,,, he don't go fast enough, or get hot enough.
  12. OK send him up here,,, he can't be anymore ugly than me,, and Marca may appreciate somebody who's housebroken.
  13. Trouble with you young bucks,,,we got to keep training ya all the time. Glad you came to your senses in time,, you've had enough trouble for now,, and who would be around to use your new garage????? huh???? now smarten up!!!!!
  14. At what point does it start to engage. You may just have to lubricate the shifter linkage.
  15. Hey,, thanks for the offer, but seeing as Dingy has sooooo many little ones to get rid of,,, before they hatch more,,, I'll have to help him out,,,,'specially seeing as he is probably feeling a little down right now,,,, but I do hope to get my own tool back, that would make the keeper of my tools feel better,,,, he probably forgot where it is, where it came from, and maybe even what it is and how to use it. So this might be a blessing in disguise for him. I know it wasn't a HER, so saying him is ok,,, and it narrows the field by about 50%.
  16. Darn it,,, I knew something was amiss,,,, now that rascal has went out and had a whole litter of little ones,,,, more things to keep an eye on,,, I going to be busy yet in my retirement.
  17. Good to hear all is well at this point,,, now take it easy for a bit, or I'll have to come down there to drink all your beer.
  18. Funny stuff,, that brake fluid.
  19. I need some help.... it seems that whoever borrowed my steering head tool has not returned it yet,,,, I know I lent it to somebody, but the somebodies I asked so far deny having it,,,, so either I forgot who I lent it too or I haven't asked the right body yet. So I'm hoping that there is nice-body who might be able to help me out in the dilemma.
  20. I guess I'm glad I didn't go then,,, that way it can be nice. Thought I would say that before somebody else cam up with that thought.
  21. Wow Earl,, this sucks,,,,, just glad it's bike parts we're looking for,, hope you can keep mobile and healthy. We'll look for you for sure.
  22. So what saved your bacon was the fact that you didn't slow down,,,, again, the throttle is your friend, had you hit the brakes, it would have been a different story. Glad your OK and the bike is repairable.
  23. Take the points out and replace them and the condenser,,, or at least file them with a points file,, a points file, did I say points file? then adjust the gap to proper spec's, probably somewhere around the 35 thou. range,,,, might be the issue.
  24. Have you checked to make sure that the connectors from the unit are making contact?
  25. Well at least she knows of a good place to park it.
