Mini Carb Float adj. Day SE Texas

Thanks for the food and fellowship. That Hal can Cook! -
The Progressive spring upgrade will most likely fix the cupping. In automotive applications, cupping or choppy wear on the edge of the tires eusually quates to bad struts or shock absorbers. Buckskin on the GL1800 forum has installed many sets of Centrmatics and springs and says the the springs are the biggest cure for the cupping. He also installs rear tires (mounted in reverse direction) to gain extra tread thickness. The Pogressive springs coupled with the Centramatic balancers gives those rear tires a very long life.

Rick, If nothing else happens to accomodate you, I can loan you the tool and shim kit. Depending on when you plan it, I may be able to help. We're tied up for the next few weeks. Ponch -

http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv87/dawarren77377/Bike%20shots/DSCF3264.jpg If you can still find the pump without the barbed nipple on each end, buy a 45° & 90° brass fitting like above. If all you can find is the dual nippled pump, most auto supply stores sell 90° rubber ends you can splice to the fuel line extention to accomplish the same thing. -

As stated above, I don't like the 130 because the bike is more easily affected by wind and road conditions.

Mounting a Center Stand
Ponch replied to MongoE9's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
It sounds like the rear shock to me. It doesn't need to be relocated. edit: I bet it is a California emissions device. I bet you can work around it. Can you snap a pic and post it? -
Cincinatti traffic sux! I walked the Venture an hour & a half through construction coming back from Freebird's and that was on a Sunday. If you get down Houston way, we can synch your carbs.

That's just awesome!

On the bike Squid quoted, at the same time that tire was installed, they tried it on at least one other Vennture and it rubbed the driveshaft housing. Nobody seems to know why it doesn't rub on this one, but there isn't much clearance. I would try the 170-80-15 in a Venom (if they make it). I have run three sets of ME880's with no problems, but there's too many on this website who have had chunks come off of their 880's for me to try them again.

Glad you got home safely! It was good to meet you.

I put mine under the front fairing between the forks. You can't see it unless you bend over and look for it. Come to think of it, the same would apply for post #3.
